Historia
When struggling riverboat captain Abner Marsh receives an offer of partnership from a wealthy aristocrat, he suspects something’s amiss. But when he meets the hauntingly pale, steely-eyed Joshua York, he is certain. For York doesn’t care that the icy winter of 1857 has wiped out all but one of Marsh’s dilapidated fleet. Nor does he care that he won’t earn back his investment in a decade. York has his own reasons for wanting to traverse the powerful Mississippi. And they are to be none of Marsh’s concern - no matter how bizarre, arbitrary, or capricious his actions may prove.

Revisado: 12-15-24
Wonderfully done and written. Narration was perfect. It was a good as his Epic Game of Thrones

Beautiful Story
Revisado: 02-09-23
Disregard what the naysayers are bleating. This was a beautiful story and it had a beautiful ending. It was full of love and made me want to run home to kiss my wife. It's all we needed.

Historia
Greed, terrorism, and simple bad luck conspire to bring mankind to its knees as a viral infection spreads out of control, reducing those infected to undead horrors that feed upon the rest. It's a time of misery and death for most, however there are some who are lucky, some who are fast, and some who are just too damned tough to go down without a fight. This is their story.

Never quite what I'm looking for
Revisado: 06-20-15
In the beginning of the story he has a forenote saying stuff like, if you use the word racist, this is not for you, if you use the word misogyny, this is not for you, but in reality it's the same as any other zombie apocalypse book that just can't quite reach what I was looking for. Other than the hyper-sexuality in some parts of the beginning, it was pretty well written and enjoyable

Historia
Fleeing assailants through alleyways in Denver late one night, Thomas Hunter narrowly escapes to the roof of an industrial building. Then a silent bullet from the night clips his head and his world goes black. When he awakes, he finds himself in an entirely different reality, a green forest that seems more real than where he was. Every time he tries to sleep, he wakes up in the other world, and soon he truly no longer knows which reality is real.

narrator
Revisado: 05-12-15
I often found it difficult to tell who was supposed to be speaking during dialogue. The narrator would switch quickly and without much voice change so I just sounded like he was speaking to himself. Still a wonderful novel, recommend to many.
