You will think you have figured it out, but then you change your mind. Then you are surprised at the ending , but guess what you are wrong again. Then you realize later on you were right one of those times you thought you were wrong. I totally enjoy red herrings and surprises. Such an intriguing story. I could not put it down and missed out o sleep to finish this.

I think I would love this story if I could be left to focus on it. But the cursing takes my attention away. How many s words are there in this book anyway. I will never know since I am done.
Very disappointed. I read another of her books I really loved. That is why I bought this one. Sorry I did.

This one you will never figure out. It was truly a mystery who did it. I love Tess Gerritsen and so glad to see another book. The story and the narration were excellent..
If there was one flaw, there was too much profanity for my taste. Love Tess Gerritsen and she does not use this kind of profanity. I can only guess it was her co-author who introduced that int the mix

I absolutely loved this book and hope for more. Would love to visit Bill again, a down to earth detective, who loves his grown daughters. I was caught away in this book and lived every minute of it. Nothing was as I predicted. So nice to be surprised.
I had no idea Kelsey Grammar is an author and his performance in being Bill was stellar. He reading was so believable.
I highly suggest this book.

I was blown away by this book. The characters were so well developed that they became my close friends living across the street and I was invited by them to go on all their memorable adventures. My heart beat along with theirs. Their friendship and devotion to each other was deep and beautiful. I visited through decades of their different lives, yet bonded together. Best friends forever. You will not regret reading this marvelous novel.

This book kept me reading. Twist, red herrings, super ending. The whole book kept me guessing who done it and the ending is such a surprise. I highly recommend this book and going now to find another of Matthew Farrel’s books to read.

Got through the entire book ..no profanity. The story was so enthralling. I could not wait to read on when I picked it up each time. Spent many late nights, unable to stop reading. The story was believable, intense at times, but very human, with these lives you enter.
I am not that good at expressing my feelings in words. I can say with a shout though, that I loved this book. Read it.

From the very beginning, my interest was aroused. It held me in it’s grip till the very last paragraph. There is romance, sadness, and intrigue. A Jewish trapeze artist hiding in Germany with a baby, not her own. I highly recommend this book. You will be a part of their lives to the very end. I am sorry it is over.

I thought I knew everything. NOT! A real page turner, suspense, physiological mystery. This book is like none other, unique story.
I don’t want to spoil anything, but I am going back for still a third novel by Freeman.
