This is really just a reading of a glossary of terms in a science book. A Not fun jump into the crazy world of the make believe quantum nonsense. Google the Southern survivorman if you want to be entertained.
Also, does anyone else notice that the other reviews are mostly incoherent? can't believe I wasted my monthly credit on this...

Audience-ology takes you to one of the most unknown places in Hollywood - a place where famous directors are reduced to tears and multi-millionaire actors to fits of rage. A place where dreams are made and fortunes are lost. This book is the chronicle of how real people have written and rewritten America’s cinematic masterpieces by showing up, watching a rough cut of a new film, and giving their unfettered opinions so that directors and studios can salvage their blunders, or better yet, turn their movies into all-time classics.

How to fix a broken Movie
Revisado: 02-22-23
this book is really good but I'll tell you what I don't like in a little bit. first of all, the narration is really good. it's surprising that the author doesn't do voiceover work. very intelligent yet, compassionate and not over the top. The stories about how top Hollywood hits are fixed before they are released to the public is really fascinating, especially the details he gives, and I'm not really a movie buff either. now- here's what I don't like. The title should have been named," how broken movies are fixed", subtitle-" the power of the audience".
To me that gives a complete description of what you're going to read and it sounds a whole lot more interesting. also what I don't like is in most books I read is the story always has to begin when the author is five or six years old and visiting their aunt viola or whatever. I just wish the story would start where it's interesting. we don't really need the other story. it's kind of confusing and no matter how cleverly written it just doesn't add really to the story in my opinion. anyhow, I enjoyed it.

Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins’ smash hit memoir, demonstrated how much untapped ability we all have but was merely an introduction to the power of the mind. In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.

couldn't take more than an hour
Revisado: 12-26-22
when you watch a movie you need to know within the first 10 minutes who the characters are and what the movies about. I listened to this just over an hour and was completely confused like I was in the middle of someone's conversation. too tough guys trying to get motivated before they lifted weights in high school, it appears. couldn't take any more of the f word ,guy needs to get a thesaurus or brush up on his adjectives. I hope it works for someone but not at all me. was hoping for something motivating. just couldn't listen anymore

Loving it, but would have cut the first part out
Revisado: 08-09-22
I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible. be honest I have still one hour left on the book but I'm in a position now to make an enlightened review. The narration is good but the guy doing it sounds like an old taxi driver and it just doesn't seem to fit the part of a young guy in Hollywood learning the ropes. but he is a good narrator. it just is kind of weird. I really enjoy the discussion of editing certain movies but I feel like he would have done better to edit his own book by removing all the introductory material. because we really are not looking for that. I know it's interesting and it's almost like an autobiography but that's not what we want with this. we just want to know how he edited and got into certain films and help them out. I'd say 3/4 of all the books I listened to. I never finish because of so much fluff. also, here's my feeling about the accuracy of this book. this book just like Andre Agassi's book seems to go to the past and remember every conversation for the last 30 years when they took place and all the wording. does anyone else find that kind of crazy? someone has that great of a memory.? it's like really. unless you're riding a diary everyday. how would you remember all of this stuff? here's like a hundred conversations over 40 years and he can remember each one of them like he was standing there. I just don't buy it. sorry but I'm going to finish the book because it's got me now committed. if you're into film and editing, especially then check this out and you can go to YouTube and check out carbonpictures to see what you think of my edits

The last 4 hours are what you really want to hear
Revisado: 07-13-22
I wasn't so much interested in how he got into writing but the television show everyone loves. Raymond. but I guess it was necessary to put some details in to explain how difficult it was to get that show made and what led up to it. could have done without the first few hours or at least reedited them. but overall it was pretty good book which I can't say for the majority of the ones I listen to

Historia
This title offers a first-person diary account of living through the Great Depression, with haunting parallels to our own time. Benjamin Roth was born in New York City in 1894. When the stock market crashed in 1929, he had been practicing law for approximately ten years, largely representing local businesses. After nearly two years, he began to grasp the magnitude of what had happened to American economic life, and he began writing down his impressions in a diary that he maintained intermittently until he died in 1978.

This is NOT a must read
Revisado: 05-27-22
I should have paid more attention reading the reviews. as one man said this is not a book about the Great depression but a diary of a man who was watching the stock market every day and sort of reporting on how he wants to invest his money. I love learning new things and drive a lot so I listen to a lot of audiobooks and sorry dude this ain't for me ,completely boring. dnf. there goes my monthly credit...

not much motivation
Revisado: 05-03-22
I understand the writers trying to be helpful, but it's just mainly stories of what he does since he stopped drinking alcohol. some of them are very long-winded and I found boring. at this point I'm not sure if I can even listen to the last hour of the book.

How can people still be so confused?
Revisado: 01-16-22
First- this book contains a LOT of information and research. It takes the form of an investigation- proving with studies all the points. You may begin to get impatient before the last few chapters, but just get through it because there are some details you never knew regarding foods, etc.
Second- the narration is the best I have heard on an audiobook- it perfectly matches the thoughts of Dr. Fung if you listen to him in real life. It's not preachy, just down to earth and funny at times.
Fourth- I was just seeing if you were paying attention.
Fifth- tomorrow I am beginning his 36 hour fast diet for 2 weeks. I am going to share the results on my YTube channel Carbonpictures.
Finally- the most important point to consider is the bodies set weight. This is why we all gain our weight back. This book will tell you in 10 hours how to do so.

Our gut is almost as important to us as our brain, yet we know very little about how it works. Gut: The Inside Story is an entertaining, informative tour of the digestive system from the moment we raise a tasty morsel to our lips until the moment our body surrenders the remnants to the toilet bowl. No topic is too lowly for the author's wonder and admiration, from the careful choreography of breaking wind to the precise internal communication required for a cleansing vomit.

hard to follow the audiobook version.
Revisado: 10-22-21
I love learning new things but this was hard for me to follow at least with the audio version because it moved too quickly for me to absorb what was actually being stated. The accent of the woman reading also through me off a little bit as I tried to figure out what a co-lawn was. a lot of research was put into this but after finishing I don't think I can remember any single point that was amazingly interesting. thanks for your work though! I'm sure this will be beneficial to people in the field
