Good book, not a fan of the narrators voice.

I didn’t enjoy listening to this as an audiobook because the voice is somewhat robotic . However the book itself is very informative in the way it narrated the stories of women who have “unavailable fathers”. I learned a good deal of behaviors as well as pointers in dealing with a traumatic past. It helps to know that as woman we are not alone and many of us deal with this type of trauma from all backgrounds. I wouldn’t jump to recommend this book , but it was a decent read.

This book has given me so much to think about, the title is misleading because it opens up a lot of subjects relating to being stronger (getting over someone) while also realizing flaws in yourself that could change . Some parts of the book is speaking to woman of color, but it doesn’t take away from the overall context of being a better version of yourself . The author is very insightful and positive , her energy is vibrant and strong. This book is very uplifting in ways you wouldn’t realize, I would recommend this audiobook. The authors voice is inviting and the narrative is easy to listen to.
