Gratuitous sex gets boring

The notion of a world w packs of humans w wolf nature intrigues me, bit I literally just couldn’t keep listening. I like a little character and plot building with a side of sex, not the other way around

Cringe if you are actually sober

Although I like this authors writing style, and her book idea was interesting, she does the world of people who are actually trying to get and stay sober no favors. I’d suggest actually researching what is helpful and what is actually potentially deadly to addicts and alcoholics. The enabling and codependency of the characters are cringe and made my stomach turn.

The worst of the series

I loved the first two Adair family novels, the third was pretty good but this one was just a disappointment. First off the female narrator is a terrible choice as she reads like a robot and her Scottish accent is horrid. Next is the amount of gratuitous sex scenes. So many! Found myself just eye rolling and saying what…. Another one? I just got bored. Hopefully the author stops with that tendency.

So inspiring and relatable

All I can say is in the world of rescue there can be an (understandable) underlying sense of guilt or shame or trauma because of the reality of what they see daily. But with this story of Ron & Danny’s rescue organization and it’s evolving growth you still get a very clear sense of the humanity and a humble description of how these dedicated people are able to save countless lives. I love the description of all the dogs and their unique personalities. I heartily recommend this book and also love the narrator!

Great story but the narrator and audio

The narrator tries too hard and it’s annoying and the audio “special effects” are ridiculous and unnecessary. The reader can tell when she’s reading or writing or when the supernatural characters are speaking. The echo chamber just ruins it. I would have bought the trilogy but can’t stand the narration
