Tessa Bailey is always worth it!

Don’t be fooled by the cutesy covers on Tessa Bailey’s books because she’s the Queen of dirty talk & you can most definitely expect open door scenes like in this super cute holiday rom-com. Tessa Bailey never disappoints & will always be an auto-buy author for me. It feels more Hallmark movie than over the top festive Christmas but it’s still mostly December in New York lol Anyway, I’m sure you’ve read the synopsis so I won’t bother repeating it. The audiobook is listed as 10 hours 33 minutes and I listened to it in the car on my way around town over the past few days- it made the drive way more entertaining. The narrators did a great job and I totally recommend it! It’s definitely worth an Audible credit 😉

Sara Cate has wrecked me again 😏

Sara Cate has wrecked me again but this time with The Anti-hero!😏 As soon as I finished the kindle book I just wasn’t ready to leave the characters yet so I HAD to purchase the audiobook especially given the amazing narrators, Vivienne LaRue and Jacob Morgan. What makes this audiobook really standout for me besides the story, characters and outstanding voice acting performances is that it’s DUET NARRATION! I’m a huge fan of Jacob Morgan’s work- he’s so darn talented. I never have to guess who’s talking during any of his work. Jacob Morgan makes it very clear which characters are talking & with the best inflections. (One of my favorite audiobooks of 2023 that was also voiced by Jacob Morgan that I highly recommend besides this one is My Dark Romeo). Okay, so let me get back to the actual reason why we’re all here to begin with lol The Anti-hero. I won’t repeat the blurb or everything everybody else is saying but I’ll tell you some of my favorite things included in this book- age gap, dirty talk, degradation, revenge plan between prominent TX preachers son & local sex club owners ex-girlfriend including fake sex tapes, etc.
Anyway, you should definitely check out The Anti-hero by Sara Cate & I 💯 recommend the duet narrated audiobook!

Awesome story & narrator!

Vanessa Moyen is the perfect narrator for this series! I can’t imagine anybody else voicing Lips and she did a great job with everybody else like the guys, Illi & Odie to the even Irish sharpshooter. I hope to hear more by her. As for the series itself, it’s one of my absolute favorites ♥️ I wish that we had Make My Move (the guys pov) on Audible…🤞🏼

Save yourself a credit & read the book

Normally I eat up rom-coms in any format but oddly enough, I had a really hard time getting through this one. I’d loved the author’s previous book, The Spanish Love Deception (movie in the works). The American Roommate Experiment seemed repetitive often & the narrators were a bit off; the female was over the top enthusiastic & the male was trying way too hard to be sexy. I really wanted to like this book so much more than I actually did 🙈

Not my usual taste but thoroughly enjoyed it!

Honestly, when I’d first started this book I was hesitant since it’s not my usual taste but after the first few chapters, I was definitely hooked into Talin’s journey with Mara against The Federation. It was different to only hear from Talin’s POV but I found that I didn’t mind at all. I don’t know if it had more to do with the writer or the narrator but either way, it worked out great for me. I do wish that I would’ve known when I’d first read the book that it ended with a cliffhanger because sheesh, the wait has been killing me! I’m dying to know what happens next but luckily the sequel, Steelstriker, is set to be released soon and I already have my preorders in so I’ll be all good ;)
Anyway, I loved the story and I’m grateful to both the author and narrator :) Thanks for giving us a badass female MC!
