Historia
To eight-year-old Bela, her family is her world. There’s Mommy, Daddo, and Grandma Ruth. But there is also Other Mommy, a malevolent entity who asks her every day: “Can I go inside your heart?” When horrifying incidents around the house signal that Other Mommy is growing tired of asking Bela the question over and over, Bela understands that unless she says yes, her family will soon pay. Other Mommy is getting restless, stronger, bolder. Only the bonds of family can keep Bela safe, but other incidents show cracks in her parents’ marriage. The safety Bela relies on is about to unravel.

I wanted to punch Ursula in the mouth
Revisado: 08-15-24
The performance was SPECTACULAR. You could feel every emotion in the characters. Literally nuiasances like kids swinging and talking as they passed each other was even believable.
The story though I found myself amazed at how imcomptent the parents were at helping themselves and making decisions. Though I did agree with Ursula as they were driving back from the lake at the end because I had been saying the same thing.
We LOVE grandma only person in the book who had common sense. Bella would have been safer with grandma because she would have nipped this problem in the bud early.
Overall I wanted a little more of the other mother and less of real mother. Which is ironic.

A wonderful but slower 2nd book
Revisado: 04-23-24
I wished for a little more action and a tweak for more descriptions of bed scenes because they could be so delicious. This book forcused more on Mal and Remi but it just always seemed uncomfortable with the 2 men being sexual. Ths descriptions of Xiodan were always so loving but it both books described Mal with such lack luster passion or like an after thought.
I absolutely did not believe Duke Valenbornes change in character though I did believe his "completion".
Other than that I found myself satisfied. Those 3 points I have did not kill my enjoyment of the second book. Honestly it gave it more of a believable variance which is why I give it a STRONG 4. Very close to exactly what I want in a book just feels like it needs one more little push.
I am assuming there will be a book 3. Mainly so I can get a cover with Xiodan on the front.

Historia
Remy Pendergast is many things: the only son of the Duke of Valenbonne (though his father might wish otherwise), an elite bounty hunter of rogue vampires, and an outcast among his fellow Reapers. His mother was the subject of gossip even before she eloped with a vampire, giving rise to the rumors that Remy is half-vampire himself. Though the kingdom of Aluria barely tolerates him, Remy’s father has been shaping him into a weapon to fight for the kingdom at any cost.

Poor Remy
Revisado: 12-04-23
It's the coupling I wanted from Castelvania. The action and adventute I wanted from any MM book, but not quite the level of description in thr bed chamber scenes. Which amazingly enough is my only vice.
Remy really deserves all the love he can get and I hope he can say I love you in book 2. As well as have his vampire lovers help him manage all the guilt tbat are honestly not his fault. His family is just toxic and hopefully he can cut that father of his loose.
I have high expectations of book 2 and am aggravated I didn't discover this series until book 2 was at least out already.

Historia
When the Air National Guard receives an emergency call for help from a remote Arctic research station in Greenland, Senior Master Sergeant Dan Cameron is chosen to lead the rescue mission. A lot of Stupid Smart people
Revisado: 02-16-22
They really thought about this. the 1st half of the book was a SWATH of scientific jargon. if I had not understood what I was listening to this book would have been PAINFUL.
HOWEVER I liked it even if the progress was slow, and these scientists forgot about all safety protocols for exposure to uncontrollably environments. Basically they were smart people with NO COMMON SENSE.
But alas how else does horror go. I give it 4/5

Lovely Book
Revisado: 07-20-21
I love Anubis, werewolves/ shape shifters of any kind. Horror books are my go to, and then you add in the Boys Love and smut. I'm ALL in, as an even bigger bonus Luca is a person of color!. it's like this book was made for me.
Then when I thought it couldn't get any better one of my favorite readers is Kirt Graves. This book for me was just a treat. I've red it before but it being an Audiobook was a homerun.
This book might not be for some people but it was great for me.

Seneca is the complete package. He's smart, sexy, and confident, much to Chevy's annoyance. They've worked with each other for two years, and even though Chevy might secretly find his partner charming and attractive, playful harassment is all they have. Chevy was born with a unique gift that allows him to go into the memories of others. As detective, he uses this ability to find peace for victims who have been hurt or attacked. But neither Chevy nor Seneca are prepared when they are asked to go into the mind of a serial killer in hopes of finding survivors.

Historia
Golgotha Falls lies in a desolate and blighted valley in Northern Massachusetts where, in 1919, Father Bernard K. Lovell, priest of the Church of the Eternal Sorrows, fell prey to isolation and despair and entered a dark night of madness, necrophilia, and suicide. Then, in 1978, a Jesuit priest was sent to reconsecrate the church but found himself seized in the foul grip of bestiality. Now, Father Malcolm, a saintly priest, has arrived to do battle with the forces of Satan that have possessed the church.

I made it maybe 2 hours through the book. Mother of Gaia the narrator bored me like listening to 6 history teachers at the same time who had given up on life and didn't know why to go they were still doing this. The story from what I listened to was overtly colorful in language. The descriptions of things seemed to be dragging and like the author needed to use every word they every though was pretty in one sentence. Don't get me wrong a beautifully written story with imagery is right up my alley. But much like the church described in the book it was over decorated to the point where I lost interest. It was like between the monotone death voice of the narrator and the overtly gilded language it felt like I was deciphering hieroglyphs. Just no it made me tired. I couldn't even tell if the story was good.
