Are you willing to sweep the shed?
Revisado: 05-09-22
The tying together of the rich Māori culture, the storied history of the All Blacks to a country that embraces both; all with the expectation to succeed! to win! With the simple principle of being better than you are now. Powerful. Not enough people will embrace it.

I was worried for Guy and his family as he left them behind for his romp in the wilderness. Thoughts of Chris McCandless’s carelessness in Into the Wild sprang up. Unlike Chris, Guy sought help, accepted help and thrived. Great story adventurous and fun. Anyone would enjoy it. Waiting for Guy’s Sea Legs to be available on Audible.

Historia
Hundreds of hardy people have tried to carve a living in the Alaskan bush, but few have succeeded as consistently as Heimo Korth. Originally from Wisconsin, Heimo traveled to the Arctic wilderness in his feverous 20s. Now, more than four decades later, Heimo lives with his wife approximately 200 miles from civilization - a sustainable, nomadic life bounded by the migrating caribou, the dangers of swollen rivers, and the very exigencies of daily existence.

With the way our public lands are being yanked around by Washington this may be the only history of what once was. It is a story of inspiring dreams, hard work and determination, success and failure, hardship and the joy of the here and now. I think anyone would enjoy it.

Historia
The Circuit des Champs de Bataille (the Tour of the Battlefields) was held in 1919, less than six months after the end of the First World War. It covered 2,000 kilometres and was raced in appalling conditions across the battlefields of the Western Front, otherwise known as the Zone Rouge. The race was so tough that only 21 riders finished, and it was never staged again. With one of the most demanding routes ever to feature in a bicycle race, and plagued by appalling weather conditions, the Circuit des Champs de Bataille was beyond gruelling, but today its story is largely forgotten.

Tornadoes, cyclones, tsunamis… Weather can be deadly – especially when it strikes without warning. Millions of Americans could soon find themselves at the mercy of violent weather if the public data behind lifesaving storm alerts gets privatized for personal gain. In his first Audible Original feature, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis delivers hard-hitting research on not-so-random weather data – and how Washington plans to release it.
