Historia
This one is a real head scratcher. This week, we head into the mountains of Siberia to dissect the bizarre tale of 9 dead Russian hikers, 1 missing tongue and a possible Yeti siege back in 1959. The case has never been completely closed and although a lot of questions remain unanswered, there are organizations that don’t seem to want to reveal the truth. Strap in, because it’s about to get chilly and conspiracy theorist-y in here. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-dyatlov-pass-incident Recommended Reading: https://dyatlovpass.com See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy ...

Hard to hear
Revisado: 11-24-20
Both hosts are not very close to the microphone, on is louder than the other, but the one who is really hard to hear sounds as though she is across the room. The constant tapping on the table is very distracting too

Historia
Oh, Edmund. This guy could have been something great if he had just ignored the part of his psyche that implored him to kill and dismember young women in order to have quality time with them. With an IQ well above average and a penchant for flowery prose, he unfortunately grew up in an environment that nourished violence and hatred for himself and those around him. Buckle up, Edmund is a real nasty character, but he will tell you that himself. I Thought This was Serious Stuff

Good story, but...
Revisado: 11-24-20
The hosts need to make sure they have the microphones set at a similar distance. Ash is super close to her mic, so she is loud where the other host is set back from her mic making it difficult to hear her so you turn the volume up and then when Ash comes back on you have to turn it back down again. The story itself was well done, tons of research done, just the execution of narration needs to be tweaked a bit.

The narrator was a disappointment
Revisado: 07-25-19
For the previous 21 books, there was one narrator, for some reason a different narrator was brought in on this one and it was not a good choice. This narrators “voices” seemed to be “forced” rather than coming smoothly as the previous narrators “voices”. The really bothersome part for me was a characters name was pronounced differently- in the previous books, Sigimor was pronounced Seymour, then suddenly in this book his name is pronounced Sigamore... for me, that was like nails on a chalkboard, especially when combined with the “forced” voices. I loved all the previous 21 books, but this one did not come close to them because of the narrator, the story was great, just not the narrator.

Historia
When a brooch is broken, some of its magic is lost. When NYPD detective JL O'Grady is invited to be her brother's plus-one at Montgomery Winery's end-of-harvest gala, she plans to enjoy a fabulous weekend in Napa drinking wine, enjoying sunset dinners on the veranda, and watching her brother's high school basketball tournament. Instead, she's pulled into a murder investigation hauntingly similar to a New York City racketeering and drug case that nearly ended her career.

Very few authors can keep my attention
Revisado: 04-12-17
Very few authors have the ability to keep my attention, I happened to like the cover on the first book in the series and I was hooked! I have listened to five books in 15 days and limited to only while I was working! Can't wait for book 6 and 7!
