Great information without the nclex bs. Poor reader but worth it. I may get the book.

Historia
A mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, The Language of Flowers beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past. The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions: honeysuckle for devotion, asters for patience, and red roses for love. But for Victoria Jones, it's been more useful in communicating grief, mistrust, and solitude.

Engrossing story of flaws and forgiveness.
Revisado: 07-03-17
Nice story of flawed humans finding their way, as we all do. Great narration. A bit long sometimes then a lifetime worth in the last 2 chapters, but I was engrossed..

Historia
Twenty-two and knowing no one, Tess leaves home to begin her adult life in New York City. Thus begins a year that is both enchanting and punishing in a low-level job at “the best restaurant in New York City”. Grueling hours and a steep culinary learning curve awaken her to the beauty of oysters, the finest champagnes, the appellations of Burgundy. At the same time, she opens herself to friendships - and love - set against the backdrop of dive bars and late nights.

Believable
Revisado: 05-14-17
Enjoyable and believable. Got a bit boring in the middle. Not a fan of the growl voice of the narrator but she did a good job. Sadly, this reminds me of my first year in NY. Not sure why the main character was happy with it.

Loved it. I especially enjoy descriptive writing in a good story. Lots of drama and social issues included.

Loveg it. Unique story but I guessed the ending, but that was ok. Never got tired of the descriptions of nature.
