Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

If you’ve ever been so pissed off that you did things that you regretted, or ruined your own day and some other people’s, too, this book is for you. Or if you feel angry every single day and it’s affecting your health and sleep and love of life. Or if you have very good reasons to be mad as hell, and you aren’t going to take it anymore. Or if you’ve repressed your anger all your life and now it’s all coming out at once.

i didn't learn any new information but perhaps many others will. best quote "others can fuck you over but they can't fuck you up"
i use curse words often in normal speech so I'm not a prude buttttt i did find the cursing to be forced and somewhat jarring. that doesn't take away stars though . mainly the robotic narration and the information wasn't profound.
like I said though if you have some credits and are interested then I do think you should give it a shot

Historia
The Courage to Be Disliked, already an enormous best seller in Asia with more than 3.5 million copies sold, demonstrates how to unlock the power within yourself to be the person you truly want to be. Using the theories of Alfred Adler, one of the three giants of 20th-century psychology, The Courage to Be Disliked follows an illuminating conversation between a philosopher and a young man. The philosopher explains to his pupil how each of us is able to determine our own life, free from the shackles of past experiences, doubts, and the expectations of others.

came here wanting to learn more about interpersonal connections and left learning so much more. was not expecting to finish it all in one work shift. well done performance and delivery this is definitely one of my favorites now.... left me with so much more to chew on. not sure who I would suggest this to though, It is definitely less of a self help book and more of a philosophy adventure.

I enjoyed this book so much by the end that I was sad it ended. great listen about leadership and how to be a better person while working with others. the stories are so cool including stories about Ben Franklin's life and more. which I didn't think would be cool until now that I'm typing this haha. definitely listen to this one, no matter your age you're gonna enjoy it

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.
