Wonderfully written story, There are several great writers out there; however, it's hard to find them. Every book on Amazon has 4.5 stars .. which generally means nothing. A little cliche action hero-y but damn good story anyway

I purchased this book because it was narrated by R.C.Bray, that way it would at least be OK, if the story was painful to slog through. And is was OK. By now you must notice almost all Amazon books with narration, rate about 4.3, so ratings aren't worth much. This book would be a fun and exciting read for a 10 year old; however, I am quite long in tooth and unfortunately have much experience in the real world with science, and reality, but still absolutely love science fiction.
I don't mind the impossible and implausible in fantasy SciFi, but in a post nuke narrative, only 250 years from the "event", the fantasy pass doesn't apply. For this story to function well by an intelligent adult reader, or reader/listener (whispersync), it must be plausible. Nothing in this story is plausible.
If you enjoy human suffering, the constant and never ending problems that threaten every desire or goal of all the characters in this story, where nothing is really ever satisfactorily resolved, then this is the book for you.

Very difficult following the reading of the book along with with whispersync.. the book was poorley written, and whispersync tried to improve the writing, constantly changing the writing .. which means you have to do one or the other.. not both at the same time .. Which is the only way whispersync is of any value.
