Divorce has devastating effects on children. Yet for divorcing parents who carefully consider and manage the intricacies associated with this difficult time, both parents, as seen from the child’s perspective, can remain as loving and supportive as they ever were. Parenting through Divorce concisely lays out the specific emotions and reactions parents need to anticipate from their children while going through separation, divorce, and its after-math.

Not for divorcing a narcissist
Revisado: 01-14-21
This advice is great if you have two parents divorcing without a narcissistic personality disorder for one of the parents. I will say I think the first example of compromise was really unfair to the mother. Having a mother sleep at her ex’s house so she can breastfeed the baby just because the dad insists the baby should also have overnights is kind of sexist and feels like a power grab from the ex husband. If the priority is the child, the child being fed should be key. Not making the dad happy because he “feels” like the baby should spend overnights at his house. Otherwise I guess you could call this book “in a perfect world” or good for anything but high conflict divorces.

I've only see season 1 of the guild but loved her on Supernatural. Her story is very interesting and I enjoyed learning more about her. If anything it helped me understand my husband's love of gaming a little better. Her chapter on cyberbullying was rough. she gets honest about the issues with websites and people abusing her personal information. I highly recommend this book. even of you're not a gamer. the audio performance is one of the best I've heard.
