I really liked the movie and after reading some reviews I was nervous to buy this in case it wasn’t what I expected but I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised. If you’re on the fence about this book give it a chance I’m sure you’ll really like it too! :)

Not for butt hurt Trump supporters

This novel was a lot of fun. The main character is very likable and there are a lot of fun jokes. The author meant for this to be lighthearted and he achieved that. The book itself is not a political statement but it is politically correct. Them/them pronouns and references to mask wearing, etc. were appreciated. I recommend this to anyone that needs a break from world events.

This is a descent into madness and not really suspenseful. I was reminded of my own mother who has recently been diagnosed with late on-set schizophrenia. The material in this book was hard for me to enjoy because of my own family history. If any reader has not experienced a family member having a deterioration of mind, this would be a good read for a trip down that path. Otherwise, this was not a mystery or suspenseful at all. The author writes well and the narrator manages to use a very deadpan approach which was a good take on how to portray the character, in my opinion. I am torn on how to recommend this book, so thumbs up if you want to read a good character study of mental illness and thumbs down if you are expecting any mystery or suspense.

Megan’s a lover and a fighter

Bought this book to see what talent may lie in Megan. She spoke well with loving inflection. It is clear that her love is real and it shows. It’s been ages since I read picture books to my kids and I was limited to listening not seeing pics. As an adult, I wanted something longer but for small children and fathers this is a very nice ode to the father/son bond.

Just a trilogy ??

I absolutely love this series! Chip is so much fun and all the characters are relatable. Most importantly this author understands love and loyalty and it comes out in these books. Highly recommend

Fun, quick read BUT please please stop using
“Oh Mercy” and the time. It’s like a catch phrase that started a few books ago that now seems to be used every chapter. So annoying to me because it’s a cute phrase, just so overused.

I have read a ton of mystery novels including all of the Agatha Christie catalog. I usually listen to light reads in the background while I work because there are seldom few that I don’t know the answer to well before the end. I can’t express what a pleasure it was to have a book that kept me guessing until the end. A welcome change. Well-written and you come to care about all the characters. Although, I did not find this LOL funny at all. Smiling funny, more like it. This is a book to listen more closely to then thinking it’s a light read. Clean and puzzling! Recommended and sorry that there’s only one and I can’t binge more.

Boo and not just because it’s Halloween

The narrator sounds like a robot and the story is just OK. Had the performance been better I may have enjoyed it more. Completely flat.
