This Would Make a Great Horror Movie

This was my first time reading Armstrong and I am not disappointed! There are a lot of reviews for this book and audiobook - read or listen for yourself if you are a horror fan.
Story was good and characters were interesting. No spoilers but if you’re a fan of the horror films like Pet Semetary and Evil Dead or any sort of isolation horror media, you’ll probably like this! It would make for a very interesting and fun horror movie or miniseries if done correctly.
Slight note - I had to listen at .95x because I found the narrator’s voice a bit grating with the different characters and styles of speaking. Not a deal breaker or anything like that - or any offense to Angela Dawe! This was just a preference. I typically adjust the rate for all books to my liking!

This was a very nice sequel! I think I may have enjoyed this story more than the first but both are excellent entries in queer fiction. I’m very interested in this world and hope the author has a few more stories to share from it!

This whole performance and Buffyverse story is such a treat! I thought that a long-due ode to Cordelia Chase would be enough but I am so thankful for the thoughtful and well-deserved recognition of the characters of Anya, Giles, Tara, Spike, and Drusilla. I’ve been a super fan of BtVS since 1997 and my heart was broken when the behind the scenes stories were shared a few years ago. This doesn’t make what happened on or off-screen right but it does allow the universe and characters shine again! Good work, Scoobies! Cheers to the cast for returning and bringing top-notch performances and to the amazing Amber Benson and Christopher Golden for crafting such an exciting and fun tale. I hope we can have more because there’s plenty more stories to be told!

Such a soothing and deep listen. I was a huge fan of Diana and to hear Harry’s story in his own words and voice - amazing! Very good memoir and it’s not all about Megan or the last few years of conflict within the royal family. Harry has had an interesting test difficult and tragic life despite being royal or ‘the spare.’

The Movie Was Better

I wanted so badly to love this book! The background music is distracting, the narrator fades into the music too often, as the story lumps along. The movie trims and tightens the story making it more enjoyable. Good characterization and such an interesting take on zombie-lore. Maybe I should have just read the book?!
