Historia
America's first families are unknowable in many ways. No one has insight into their true character like the people who serve their meals and make their beds every day. Full of stories and details by turns dramatic, humorous, and heartwarming, The Residence reveals daily life in the White House as it is really lived through the voices of the maids, butlers, cooks, florists, doormen, engineers, and others who tend to the needs of the president and first family.

Not bad
Revisado: 05-09-15
What made the experience of listening to The Residence the most enjoyable?
A nicely written book. Gives some insight into the lives behind the doors.
What did you like best about this story?
Good story telling.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Karen White?
ANYONE!!!! She was horrible! She paused at the strangest times and was very monotone. Siri has more expressive speaking than Karen White! At times it almost sounded like automated!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No.
Any additional comments?
If you can get past the horrible narrator, it's a pretty good book!

With an acerbic wit and an honest approach, Swain shares his perspective on such pivotal matters as how to ski without losing a limb or your self-esteem, how to correctly prepare and consume lobster according to Maine standards, and whether marketing ploys hypnotically convince consumers to replace perfectly functioning items without a second thought.

Boring
Revisado: 04-24-15
Painfully boring. I honestly have nothing good to say about this audio book. It was a complete waste of time and money.
