Historia
Why is it that so many of us toil away in jobs we hate, being treated like machines, doing things that will eventually ruin the planet? Is this really the best we can do with our work and our lives? Concluding a massive research project spanning the fields of behavioral economics, future trend analysis, and management science, Josh Allan Dykstra elegantly shows how the world of work is evolving.

Clear perspective and useful ideas
Revisado: 06-21-17
If you could sum up Igniting the Invisible Tribe in three words, what would they be?
Inciteful, clear perspective.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No because I wanted to consider the ideas provided in application to my own work style. Then I would return to learn more in a subsequent listen. The book provides a current, realistic view of work teams and environments.
Any additional comments?
The narration was very well done! I appreciated the easy cadence with emphasis placed appropriately on certain words or phrases. I give high marks when my mind no longer notices the narration but becomes lost in the story or ideas!

Historia
After losing his leg to a land mine in Afghanistan, Cormoran Strike is barely scraping by as a private investigator. Strike is down to one client, creditors are calling, and after a breakup with his longtime girlfriend, he’s living in his office. Then John Bristow walks through his door with a shocking story: His sister, the legendary supermodel Lula Landry - known to her friends as the Cuckoo - famously fell to her death a few months earlier.

An enjoyable detective story!
Revisado: 09-03-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it has well developed characters,
What did you like best about this story?
I have not listened to or read many crime or detective books. My favorite fiction book prior to this has been Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. The story did not reveal "who dunno it"early on, if indeed there was a culprit, but kept me guessing until the climactic end when the puzzle pieces were woven together very well. I particularly liked the various characters in the story, the fashion industry environment and the way the individual character stories all came together satisfactorily without breaking credibility.
Have you listened to any of Robert Glenister’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I have not listened to other books performed by Mr. Glenister.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did not have an extreme reaction. I commonly listen to books while I work out on the exercycle in the health center. I did laugh out loud a number of times. As the climax of the story came together I found myself on aux in 'driveway moments" and on earbuds while working around the house because I abandoned my routine as I "could not put it down".
Any additional comments?
I hope J. K. Rowling plans a second book with Cormoran Strike to continue with his detective work! Fun that the entire book is written sprinkled with current British slang and culture.

Historia
For two thousand years, cadavers have been involved in science's boldest strides and weirdest undertakings. They've tested France's first guillotines, ridden the NASA Space Shuttle, been crucified in a Parisian laboratory to test the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, and helped solve the mystery of TWA Flight 800. For every new surgical procedure, from heart transplants to gender reassignment surgery, cadavers have been there alongside surgeons, making history in their quiet way.

Where does Stiff rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
top 5
Have you listened to any of Shelly Frasier’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not heard her other performances but would be glad to listen to another.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No some of the subject matter needs a break now and then.
Any additional comments?
A fascinating subject that is deftly handled both in writing and performance. I bought the book in part because it was on sale and in part because it had good reviews. I agree with the reviews. Well done!

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Fascinating with richly developed characters
Revisado: 09-08-12
Would you consider the audio edition of A Game of Thrones to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print but the performance brought the entire book to life for me.
Have you listened to any of Roy Dotrice’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I hope that he is the performer on all of the books since I plan to complete listening to every one.
Any additional comments?
A fascinating book. I'm glad a friend recommended it. I listened 3 times to the first chapter to engage my mind around the names and the crucial details and by the 2nd Chapter I was hooked into an excellent book.

Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Psycho
Revisado: 08-18-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Well spent? no, because I thought the ending was just crappy. I did not like these people and I thought the f-bombs were distracting.
Would you ever listen to anything by Gillian Flynn again?
Sure
Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne – was your favorite?
"Go" because she seemed the most real
Do you think Gone Girl needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No!
Any additional comments?
Wow. was disappointed that I just did not like these people. From about the middle of the book until the end I could not stop listening but the ending just made me nauseous. Both of the main characters evolved into just sick people. And they get away with it?! Yuck
