We fell in love in a lightning strike. He knew right away, yet I was hesitant. I could have never prepared myself for a love like ours. No one could. As a child, I had conjured an amazing story in my mind. It was a story I could retell about a man who would move me like no other, a story about the way we met and how he had swept me off my feet. But the ending to that fairytale was so far from the reality. No one will want to hear that story now, but for Grant, I will always tell it.

A beautiful love story, utter devastation. I went in blind but I’ve read enough of Kate Stewart’s work to know that the harder I fall for an MMC the harder I’ll cry. While Exodus and OLRD will have me in a permanent chokehold, I can move on from this story with bittersweet memories.

Heartbreakingly beautiful story of love and redemption

I have been waiting for this audiobook and it was so worth it!
This is the story of a boy born into a difficult life and the lengths he goes to take care of the ones he loves, when a bad choice leads to devastation as a young man. I lost count of how many times I cried and at one point I was ready to square up to the author 😂
While it’s a long book, it never drags and the male narrator was new to me but both did an excellent job.
So, quit reading my review and get this book!!

More convinced than ever…

…that Dom was the superior choice! If Exodus was devastating, this was an A bomb. Sean may have been more verbal about his feelings for Cee but you can’t convince me he loved her as fiercely as Dom did. I finally understand why Dom had to die, he wouldn’t have survived losing her to Tobias and I’m not sure Cee would have been as satisfied as she was with the way her life turned out. Dom’s love for his brother and brothers was so complete it makes me question if I’ve ever been truly loved. He was everything I suspected he was inside and he was so much more. I absolutely loved the ending! I know Kate had concerns that it was too out there but it wasn’t, it was absolute perfection! As always Joe and Maxine aren’t just performers, the ARE the voices of The Ravenhood. Joe, I’ve lost count of how many times you’ve made me cry 😭
