Historia
From breakout stand-up comedian Iliza Shlesinger comes a subversively funny collection of essays and observations on a confident woman's approach to friendship, singlehood, and relationships. "Girl Logic" is Iliza's term for the way women obsess over details and situations that men don't necessarily even notice. She describes it as a characteristically female way of thinking that appears to be contradictory and circuitous but is actually a complicated and highly evolved way of looking at the world.

Love this girl!

I never knew so much about Iliza! This book is a hilarious way to look at the psyche of women and gives such good insight on where she came from and what gives her the authority to speak on a topic. Performance was amazing as expected since she does public speaking for a living. Highly recommend!

Historia
A hilarious and emotional personal account of the life, times, mistakes, and crippling codependence of comedian, producer, director, actress, and writer Whitney Cummings. Full of intellect, pathos, and profundity, I'm Fine...and Other Lies is, in Whitney's words, her first book, which means her last date. With her signature incendiary edge and self-deprecation, Whitney comes clean about what has shaped her into the trailblazing comic that she is today.

Whitney is officially a great author. I have always loved her stand up and tv shows, but hearing this raw insight to her life was amazing. She seamlessly blended her comedy life into the complexities that make up all our lives. Highly recommend!

Great Read If You’re As Narrow Minded as the Author
Revisado: 03-28-18
I really thought I would like this book because I am very interested in ALL aspects of dog behavior/training. The author began very strong in my opinion but a few chapters in started to show how close minded her learning had made her. She only sees black and white with training. Reward only vs. correction only. There are SO many ways to combine the two in a safe, humane way. I’ve seen many dogs, including my own, that get BEYOND excited when they see their remote collar come out because fun things happen when they wear it. If you base your judgements to align with hers, these dogs would cower in a corner. Training adversatives has come a LONG way. Especially with the use of corrective collars. Although she did say she condones the use of them in police/military dogs where “life’s are at stake” like that’s any different... eye roll.

Historia
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.

Stay Focused
Revisado: 09-08-16
Overall, this is a great book. Trying to keep the storylines in order can be a little tricky at times. This is mainly because the author will switch characters and time in what seems to be the middle of a chapter. However, if you can stay focused and keep everyone in order, it turns out to be a wonderful read.

What started as a way to harness Solo’s unruly energy and enthusiasm soon became a calling that introduced Warren to the hidden and fascinating universe of working dogs, their handlers, and their trainers.

Wonderful for a dog training enthusiast.
Revisado: 08-16-16
I'm not even sure where to begin. I typically find myself extremely picky with narration, but Campbell was top notch.
The book itself was great. Hearing about the negative parts of raising a working dog felt like it will help with future training of dogs. I wouldn't change a thing. To handler and handler hopefuls, this is a must read!

The Black Dahlia
Revisado: 06-21-16
This book is definitely not for the faint of heart. Sometimes vulgar; sometimes explicit; sometimes downright gory. If you can stomach the vivid scenes depicted, it's a wonderful read. The narration is top notch. Hoye brings the story to life in ways most narrators tend to miss. The story itself is incredibly riveting, minus a couple "where did that even come from?" moments, it will keep you on your toes til the end.
