Favorite children’s series

I am 33 now and have been listening to these audio books since I was around 7 years old. Hank is what got me into reading. I would rent the audiobook and book from the library and read along with Mr. Erickson. Many nights I went to sleep to the sound of his voice. I love how he did the voices for all the different characters. I love the songs. Thank you Mr. Erickson for these timeless stories about our good old pal Hank. I still enjoy them and recommend them to anyone I know with children.

I read this book in 6th grade (2001) and it always stuck with me. I’m so glad to have found it again. Listening as an adult, the themes stood out more. It made me cry quite a few times listening. Wonderful book. I hope children still read this in schools.

Historia
Sofia is just a normal high school girl, worried about getting her homework done and looking cool in the lunchroom, when he shows up: a devastatingly handsome new kid, mysteriously covered in decaying bandages, and staring at her from the empty holes where his eyes should be. She thinks he's just a hipster, but is there more to this handsome stranger than meets the eye? Yes. He's a mummy. We're not really making a secret about this. The twist is he's a mummy.

Refreshing!

I thoroughly enjoyed this! It was funny, romantic, the end was action packed. The plot is great and pretty well thought out in my opinion. Happy ending! I’d love more! I know it was a joke and is making fun of a certain book series about vampires, which I loved as a teen. As a rat (iykyk) who still loves those books (even if they’re problematic) Unwrap My Heart has stolen my heart
