Historia
Being kidnapped at 12 years old by my stepfather means even the campground where I work and live is never truly safe from my anxiety. If it wasn’t for my dogs, I’d fall apart completely. But then Virgil comes into my life. The masked stalker slides into my room at night and takes what he pleases, making sure I enjoy every second of it. What starts as a fantasy soon becomes something inescapable for us both.

Hot & Twisted!
Revisado: 11-13-23
Depraved, the first book in the Pleasure and Prey series, lived up to its title. The storyline is intriguing, dark, hot, and twisted; the girl falls for the ultimate bad boy, a psychotic serial killer. Sloane, our heroine, has a significantly traumatic past that has left profound mental and emotional scars. Virgil should be the very kind of man Sloane should avoid, given her traumas, yet she is explicitly drawn to the promised pleasure and game of seduction. Sloane welcomes Virgil and his killer friends and their psychopathic tendencies into her life. Sloane comes across as too trusting. But one can reason that her awful past reshaped and molded her into becoming more amiable. Either way, I really enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the narration; I was definitely drawn in.
Outstanding narration! Lia Holland did a fantastic job emulating the characters' complex personalities and emotions. She brought the story to life. Depraved was a tantalizing and twisted listen, one I'll highly recommend.

A Masterful Enemies-to-Lovers Mafia Romance
Revisado: 09-04-23
The City of Thieve is a brilliantly written mafia, enemies-to-lovers romance and another outstanding collaboration by two amazing authors, Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher. Each adds their unique style, combining two extraordinary talents while creating fascinating worlds and intriguing characters. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to another chapter in the Underworld King's world.
City of Thieve is a gripping, exciting, and scorching hot ride in the dangerous and thrilling mafia underworld. The storyline is well-plotted and wholly engrossing. The character development is marvelous. It was easy to connect and relate with Renzo and Tatiana. I found them both rather appealing and magnetic. Renzo and Tatiana are multilayered and appealing, expressing genuine emotional depth and flaws while transmitting unique elements into the story. Their journey is elaborate, intense, dark, and exhilarating, filled with tension, steam, suspense, danger, and unforeseen twists. I was hooked and lost in the great plot and narration.
Vivienne LaRue and Alan Carlson are exceptional performers. They captured and embodied the essence of Renzo and Tatiana, depicting the various hues of their personalities, passion, and vigor. Overall, City of Thieve was a fantastic listen, a phenomenally written Dark Mafia Romance with memorable characters and superb narration. The City of Thieve is a journey worth taking and one I highly recommend.

I’ve always known where I belong. I was born to wear the Dirty Soul patch. Club life is the only life I’ve ever wanted. The president, Jimmer Carson, raised me like a son, and he trusted me with his family. When tragedy strikes our club, the life I thought I knew is thrown into turmoil. Loyalties are questioned, bonds are severed, and rules are broken. For the first time in my life, I feel lost. She’s a complication I shouldn’t pursue. Far too perfect to be mine.

Deliciously dark & twisted - need the rest!
Revisado: 09-04-23
Lost Soul is a phenomenal start to The Dirty Souls MC series. The storyline and the character development met my highest expectations. It's brilliantly written, gripping, gritty, suspenseful, emotionally engaging, deliciously dark, and enthralling. The character development is authentic, and the MC world and culture weren't sugar-coated. Dirty Souls MC's world is gritty, dangerous, twisted, and dark, shrouded in deception.
The combination of the various moving parts, secrets, danger, and unexpected twists made the storyline unpredictable and wholly engaging. It's like riding on a spiraling rollercoaster, going through a dark tunnel with one wrenching turn after another. As for the main characters, the chemistry between Hayley and Jessie is explosive, charged with passion, childhood memories, tragedy, consequences, masked desire, and heat. I was thoroughly captivated by and emotionally invested in their journey.
Outstanding narration by Jeremy Frazier and Arlene Seberg! They each captured the nuances of the characters, emotions, and intensity of the scenes, making the story even more engrossing. Lost Soul is a fascinating listen with a sophisticated plot, intriguing characters, and quality narration. I ate it all up! I was intrigued, wanted more, and eagerly anticipated the next audiobook in the series. I'm definitely recommending this audiobook.

Captivating!
Revisado: 07-17-23
Saving Him, the second book in the Keep Me series is a well-written and captivating dark romance. After the shocking ending to Keeping Her, the first book, my expectations were set pretty high for the sequel. All I have to say is Saving Him delivered in the best way possible. There wasn't a dull moment. The storyline is intense, suspenseful, heartfelt, hot, and steamy, wrapped in unexpected twists. What drew me in the most was how well-developed the characters were, their dynamics, and the complexity of their emotions. I've genuinely enjoyed the series, and I'm crossing my fingers Angela Snyder publishes Watching Her in audiobook so I can continue the series.
Stephen Borne and Auri Alden did an outstanding job with the narration. They grasped and enacted the complex personalities, emotions, and connections between the characters. Saving Him was a fantastic second installment with a great plot and excellent narration, one I'll highly recommend.

Historia
I'm Hailey Bradbury, hedge witch and vampire. My sire was staked moments after I was turned. As a youngling, the Voodoo Queen took me in. She taught me her art. I've been working with the new Mistress of the Vampire Council. She trained me in the ways of vampirism, the path of the night. Witchcraft plus voodoo and vampirism equals what I call bloodwitchery. Most witches won't mess with the power latent in blood. It's dark. It's dangerous. But if you can master it...you can harness the power of life itself.

Vampires & Witches
Revisado: 09-17-22
Voodoo and Vampires, the first book of the Blood Witch Saga, is a cleverly written urban fantasy. It's very well plotted with imaginative and fascinating world-building and intriguing characters. The storyline is rich, fast-paced, and entertaining, geared toward young adults but can be enjoyed by all ages. There were loads of suspense, action, magic, witches, vampires, vampire rules, culture, and unexpected twists and turns. The story certainly captured my attention, and I'll be listening to the next installment.
Kelley Hazen did an excellent job with the narration. She captured the nuances of the various characters' personalities and intensity found on pages, breathing life into the story. Voodoo and Vampires was an entertaining listen, one I'll recommend.

Loved it!
Revisado: 09-17-22
The contemporary Mythos series gets better and better with each book. Poseidon is definitely one of my favourites. It's a wonderfully written second chance romance with a fascinating premise wrapped in the mystery of mythology and the paranormal. Carly Spade has been augmenting the Mythos world and the characters, producing a refreshing and remarkable series. The storyline is engaging and captivating; it draws you in and connects you even more with the characters. Cordelia (Cori) and Poseidon (aka Simon) are an amazing couple. Their connection is deep, vibrant, and genuine. They both have a profound affinity for the sea. Elements of suspense, danger, and action are perfectly balanced with personal growth, devotion, passion, and desire. The way Cori and Simon's journey unfolded and expended was simply clever. I enjoyed every moment and can't wait for the next book in the series.
Carly Robins did an outstanding job with the narration. Portraying and emulating Cori and Simon's personalities, emotions, and connection, breathing life into their story. Poseidon was a terrific listen, and if possible, I would give more than five stars.

My Favorite!
Revisado: 05-18-22
Zeus is another fantastic addition to Carly Spade's Contemporary Mythos series. The story is a wonderfully written marriage of convenience/arranged marriage romance. It's skillfully plotted with well-developed and memorable characters. Keira and Zane's personalities appealed to me from the get-go. Zeus is Zane, a handsome, alluring, charismatic, sophisticated, and successful defence attorney searching for his Queen. Keira is that said Queen, beautiful, feisty, witty, intelligent and just as successful prosecutor. Their connection was natural, undeniable, and wrapped in sensuality, mutual desire, and fiery passion. The chemistry was utterly explosive; Keira withstanding Zane's charms and challenged him at every turn.
The narration was perfect! Thomas Locklear and Stella Bloom performed incredibly. They embodied the characters, portraying the nuances of their emotions, appeal, and attraction flawlessly. They breathed life into Carly Spade's words and her characters, making the story even more engaging. Zeus was a thoroughly enjoyable listen, packed with humor, witty banter, steam, drama, and so much more. I'm definitely recommending this audiobook.

The Quarrel of Sword and Bone was a death sentence for anyone who stepped into the arena with the deranged Queen, whose soul had crisped to frost in an age long since past. Sixteen-year-old Helen Bell understood tragedy better than most kids growing up—she knew what it was like to wear clothes from donation bins and be mocked by the beautiful girls in school. She thought these brutal experiences made her ready for anything.

A Soul as Cold as Frost is a brilliantly written and wholly captivating story. It's beautiful with descriptive and vivid imageries; I was literally sucked into Jennifer Kropf's innovative world. She is an absolute talent, and with her masterful storytelling and writing, she left a long-lasting impression. Her world-building and character development are phenomenal and refined. The storyline is utterly riveting, exciting, and enchanting; I listened to just over twelve hours in one sitting; that's how captivated and enthralled I was.
Mia Hutchinson-Shaw did an excellent job with the narration. She was able to breathe life into the characters and Kropf's words. A Soul as Cold as Frost is an impressive start to The Winter Souls series, and I can't wait for the second installment. I'm highly recommending this audiobook.
