Great story, full of funny moments and even things to think. Also, amazing narration, it gave life and personality to the character. I think I found a new favorite Narrator.

What a lesson in resilience.

I thought I knew this story, but this book and the narration of Simon Prebble gave me a new perspective of their struggles and the sheer enormity of their accomplishments. Truly there are no limits to the human spirit and the will of mankind.
If you want to gain a new perspective in life and your daily struggles compared to what the crew of the Endurance had to go through, this book is for you.

I don't know what the humans are so cranky about. Their enclosures are large, they ingest over 1,000 calories per day, and they're allowed to mate. Plus, they have me: an Autonomous Servile Unit, housed in a mobile/bipedal chassis. I do my job well: keep the humans healthy and happy.

What did you love best about The Martian?
The sheer human factor of this book. I humanize space travel again, in a age of sky cranes, rovers and probes, this places a human back into the role of explorer and not just an observer.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Martian?
the whole book is memorable, but the "eureka" moments always shine.
