The best habit compilation I’ve ever read
Revisado: 12-07-18
James Clear combines the common cue, response, reward with his own twist that makes so much freaking sense. He takes into account our unique cravings that stem from our personalities and preferences. It doesn’t seem like much because my writing is not as thorough as his but the way he lays it out on this book and what to do about it in simple actionable ways is the best compilation of personal development and tactical results that I’ve seen so far. Highly recommend.

Historia
The occasion was a big birthday. And it inspired two close friends to get together in Dharamsala for a talk about something very important to them. The friends were His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The subject was joy. Both winners of the Nobel Prize, both great spiritual masters and moral leaders of our time, they are also known for being among the most infectiously happy people on the planet.

The audio is so much more fulfilling than the physical book
Revisado: 02-19-18
We have both the audio and paperback. I listened while commuting to work and I was pleasantly surprised to hear all 3 authors actually speaking their parts. Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama and Abrams are great in their narration. It added so much more life and meaning to what I was reading before. I felt I was more engaged and understood it better.

I love Brendon but ...
Revisado: 09-13-17
The content of the book was really good. He always started with a story from his coaching clients. That brought some real life to the point he was about to make. Then he made his point and backed it up with some neuroscience research. It was really cool. The only thing holding it back was I was expecting Brendon's near ration to match the vibrancy he had in his YouTube videos that wasn't the case. It sounded like he was reading a book and no – he was reading a book but he didn't bring it to life like he usually does. All in all I would still recommend it could just be ready for it not to be as life like as his videos.

Historia
When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn't have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave - "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" - wasn't about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because "time is all you have... and you may find one day that you have less than you think").

The BEST Intro to personal development
Revisado: 09-09-16
This book is one of the best introductions and revisits I've ever experienced to doing the inner work required to grow as a success and a kinder human being. The lessons I've gathered from this book myself are numerous but what I found even better is when I've introduced friends that have never heard of personal development and think it's weird. Going to a weekend event or reading another personal development book can be intimidating for them - I never realized that. But after recommending this "story" and listening to this book, they've started that process self mastery and are open to other ideas. The quality of conversation that I have with some of my old friends as well as my new friends have gotten better and better.

You are about to discover how to increase your motivation and start recruiting more reps and customers into your business. Many marketers don't realize how important confidence building and motivation is in business. Great content, poor narraration
Revisado: 08-16-16
I like how short and concise the book is giving tips that would normally take several hours of listening to get to. Nothing I haven't heard before conceptually but this author used language in just a few sentences out of this entire book that I hadn't heard before. That perspective resonated with me this time and made it worth 10 times what I paid for it. Just make it through the monotone narrator and you'll make it lol
