Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Very Good

I don't think so but I did enjoy the narrator very much.
What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I felt he really portrayed the characters well and it wasn't overselling or exaggerating. I really enjoyed his performance.
Any additional comments?
I'm not normally a reader of Stephen King but I did enjoy this boook very much.

Historia
They were the Princess Dianas of their day—perhaps the most photographed and talked about young royals of the early twentieth century. The four captivating Russian Grand Duchesses—Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia Romanov—were much admired for their happy dispositions, their looks, the clothes they wore and their privileged lifestyle. Over the years, the story of the four Romanov sisters and their tragic end in a basement at Ekaterinburg in 1918 has clouded our view of them, leading to a mass of sentimental and idealized hagiography.

Lovely Tale of History
Revisado: 04-17-17
What did you love best about The Romanov Sisters?
I loved how I was able to get an insider view on daily life and events of the family. I felt like I was right there. Also, I enjoyed that details such as the crushes the sisters had on their guy friends and possible suitors was added and not made to seem petty or childish. It really made it that much more personable to the listener because afterall they were children and were still able to retain many of the aspects of childhood.
What other book might you compare The Romanov Sisters to and why?
I'm not sure as this is the first book I've read about the Romanov family.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I really felt sad for the family knowing what their future was and their diminishing hope at the end. I wish they had been able to escape and live out their lives elsewhere. They were just as human as any other family.
Any additional comments?
Highly recommended.

Absolutely Beautiful
Revisado: 04-17-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Lucky Boy to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print book but this book I think is stunning either way. The author's style is just wonderful and I really fell in love with the characters.
Have you listened to any of Soneela Nankani and Roxana Ortega ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listed to any of the author's books before, nor any books by the narrator.
If you could take any character from Lucky Boy out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I think it would be Kavya and her husband, they were such warm and caring people and really had their heart on their sleeve. They experienced such a devastating event that I don't know many people that would be able to come back from it or keep going.

Would you listen to Cómo Ganar Amigos e Influir Sobre las Personas [How to Win Friends and Influence People] again? Why?
Claro que si, hay muchos tipos y consejos para tratarse con la gente que repasaré una y otra vez.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cómo Ganar Amigos e Influir Sobre las Personas [How to Win Friends and Influence People]?
Have you listened to any of Juan Antonio Bernal’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Me encanta la voz del narrador, buscaré más libros leídos por él.

Would you listen to The Good Girl again? Why?
I would definitely listen to this audiobook again.
Which scene was your favorite?
The ending was such a plot twist, I would have never guessed it. I really enjoyed that part.
I also loved listening to the developing relationship between Owen (Colin) and Chloe (Mia).
I loved every part of Gabe Hoffman's narration. He was such a great character; funny, witty, determined, caring, and understanding.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Almost! I finished it in three days.

This book was awesome. I leaned a lot about Nick which I never knew before, discovered his road to acting success, and laughed frequently as he eloquently described his past ventures in acting, woodworking, and life in general. His advice is simply delicious!

Historia
The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Intriguing story, but not a winner for me.
Revisado: 04-18-14
Would you listen to The Goldfinch again? Why?
I don't know if I would listen to The Goldfinch again. I really liked the characters in the story such as Hobi, Andy, Pippa, and Westie, but the amount of drug use and Russian accents became really annoying after a while of listening. Maybe if I had read the book it would be different.
What aspect of David Pittu’s performance would you have changed?
I think the Russian accents were over used and bothered me after a while of listening. I liked Hobi's voice and his voice really helped me to imagine him. I liked Theo's voice as well, it really suited Theo as a character. Andy's voice was extremely well-done and perfect for his character.
Any additional comments?
I would've liked to see where the story had progressed if the mother and Westie had survived the museum bombing. It really bothered me to hear Theo's fast decline into a world of drinking and drugs after his mother's death. I think I will probably listen to it again to see if my thoughts have changed about it the second time.
