Historia
Bubba's mama came to him for help, and now he's got absent mama drama! Why did his mother abandon her family all those years ago? What is this about a sister? And what does she mean she's a fairy princess? Does this mean Bubba is a fairy? That's just weird. Bubba, Agent Amy, Skeeter, Uncle Father Joe, and Mama have to go to FairyLand to save Bubba's sister from Puck, the trickster from Midsummer.

Bubba's momma
Revisado: 10-02-17
John G. Hartness comes through again with another entertaining story of Bubba the Redneck Monster Slayer. This book provides more depth to Bubba's character and insight into his background. Not my favorite of the Bubba the Monster Slayer books as there is a lot about Bubba's momma, so it's not entirely about Bubba, which is what I enjoy the most. All in all though, it's a great book and narrated fantastically. If you enjoy the other Bubba books, you'll definitely enjoy this one as well.

A vampire book with a real ending. What a concept
Revisado: 05-30-17
What made the experience of listening to Hard Day's Knight the most enjoyable?
I love the concept of what would happen when a couple of young, out-of-shape, bachelors who spend all their spare time playing video games in a cheap basement apartment turn into vampires. A nice break from the gorgeous looking vamps with the rock hard abs that are so common in today's vampire novels.
What did you like best about this story?
The story is fast paced, with multiple mini-adventures taking place along the way, while the hero makes his way to the final conclusion. The narration is voiced particularly well, keeping me in tune with the story throughout my long car ride.
Which character – as performed by Nick J. Russo – was your favorite?
I liked Greg the best. He's the main vampire's side-kick. He's a nerdy, eternally overweight vampire who likes to dress the vampire/superhero part. Cape, spandex, utility belt (that's just a great touch), etc.... He's partners with our hero, but outside of playing dress-up vampire, would obviously rather spend his time sitting in the apartment playing video games.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
This really isn't a book that moves you emotionally. It's more of an adventure/fun book to listen to.

Historia
Disgraced during the Demon War, Dwarf investigator Snazdaggin Kundarik (Spade to his friends) wants nothing more than a desk to sleep on, a bottle of grog to drink, and the occasional easy case for quick pay. Then a mysterious female Elf from the posh side of town shows up and offers him exoneration for his past sins and lots of gold. All he has to do is follow her brother and report his activities. Simple, right? He should have known better. The simple job soon spirals out of control.

Dwarves, Elves, and Demons. What's not to like?
Revisado: 05-05-17
If you could sum up Malaise Falchion in three words, what would they be?
Fantasy, Action, Magic
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The story keeps you enthralled as you constantly try to figure out in this battle of good vs evil, which side is good and which is evil. Betrayal, twists, and constant action throughout.
Which scene was your favorite?
There is a large build up to the final battle at the end, which is well written and excellently narrated. Much better than the huge build up and then nothing that you get at the end of a popular vampire series that I won't mention the name of. Yeesh!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There is one scene where a main character has to go through a pretty major self sacrifice in order to help their side and the author describes it in a way so that the reader can almost feel the character's misery.
Any additional comments?
All around well-written and narrated book. At 8 1/2 hours, it's the perfect length for a long car ride or to help pass the time during a dull day of busy-work. An action/mystery with elves, wizards, dwarves, orcs, hobgoblins, demons etc.... It's kind of a Tolkien meets Dick Tracy story.
