Get ready for angst...

A well crafted high school bully romance with no shortage on the bully. If you're a fan of bully romance this one has allllll the feels. Can you say angst?? The ending... you'll be impatiently waiting for the next one on audio! I was hoping this was a little more mature, but I would say it's an Upper YA, or New Adult read. Ther performance by Jillian Yetter was perfect for the part. Her unique voice really brought the "high school" feel to life.

Holy steamy-ness! As a huge fan of reverse harem alien sci-fi, I absolutely loved this book. It is the last book in the series, but each can be read as a stand alone. This one is the story of the last sister and her alpha Vakarran aliens. The story itself is well a written adventure with no shortage of steam. The narration by Heather First was absolutely spot on. I will definitely go back and listen to the rest of the series!

Really great YA read! This was a great dystopian story, well built and good character development. The MC Clara is easily likeable for her real-world views, and her tenacity. She's thrown into the world of "soft hands" as she calls them, but doesn't forget where she came from. I'm not a huge fan of the "chosen one" trop, or whatever you call this one, but overall it was done well. I'm glad I didn't read any spoilers about the ending...I was suspicious and then BAM. Its right there. Don't spoil the mystery!! The only thing this was missing for me was a bit of steam or sexual tension at least. Hoping the next one picks that up a bit. I won't be jumping into book 2 right away, but it's on my To Be Listened list. As always Melissa Moran's performance is excellent. Something about the cadence of her voice was expertly suited for this novel. If anything, that alone will convince me to buy the next book.

Another Great One, On to the Next!

This is the continuation of Haley's story with team Jaguar. In this book we see Haley truly discovering life for the first time with the help of the guys. She gets a job, rides roller coaster, and all around experiences the joys of being young. As her feelings for the guys begin to deepen so does her suspicions of their motivations, and their roles at their job. Honestly, not much action happens in this one, but what makes it interesting is everything i've mentioned above, it's the little things. We finally get the promise of action at the end compelling us to keep on with the series- which i definitely plan to do. Reviews for book 3 promise angst and romance...count me in! As before, Emily Lawrence's performance was flawless, we can't forget the woman that single handedly brings so many multi-faceted character to life. Looking forward to hearing her in the next.

Zara Zenia fan

Honestly as a big Zara Zenia fan I was very much looking forward to this audiobook. As the book is from the point of view of a young woman I was a little surprised with the choice of narrator, but decided to go for it anyway. Chase Ripley is a great narrator and his performance was great as well.....but I just couldn't get into it. After giving it several tries, I just couldn't get the mental picture I was looking for due to the odd mix of voice and point of view. I had to give up and i'll just have to give it a read. That being said...again Chase is an excellent narrator but he just wasn't right for the part in my opinion.

Omgomgomg!!

This is most definitely one of the best books i've read/listened to in recent memory. The narrator wasn't my absolute favorite but still good, and good enough to still enjoy the book. My best advice is to go into this one blind...don't you dare read any spoilers-not one! The angst meter is off the charts, so if you want the feels look no further. Mystery, romance, tragedy, twists.... its all there. I've already said too much, just download it!

This was a thoroughly enjoyable listen. The performance by Emily Lawrence is spot on. This is definitely a slow-burn book, but I really enjoyed the building of the relationships between the MC and the guys. I've already started the next book in the series and look forward to seeing how the plot plays out.

Pretty Good

The first parts of this are pretty darn good. I loved the imagery of the afterlife and the mystery of how our heroine ended up there. I really appreciated the build up of her coming into her own, working hard and training, as well as the building relationship between her and her trainer. All of that i loved... but then things took a really spiritual (dare I say religious..?) turn that had me losing interest. Not really my thing. If that is your thing however, you will freaking love this book. Slow building action and romance you can really invest in. The performances were perfect in this one, you truly feel immersed and completely forget you're just listening. Venessa Moyen kills it!

This story draws you in right from the beginning, the sweet and proper Abigail locking eyes a irresistible prison inmate. The intrigue only goes up from there, weaving a heartbreaking tale of how Greyson ended up there. Action, forbidden steamy romance, mystery-it's all there. The performances on both parts are spot on, Lauren Sweet excellent as usual and Jacob Morgan...*swoon*. Did you think you could ever fall in love with a prisoner?.... because after Jacob's performance please sign me up! One of the best books i've heard in a while. Highly recommend!

Cozy Intersteller Read

The perfect late night listen. This one has scenes to make you laugh, giggle like a little girl, and full on swoon. I do love a good alien romance and this was not a disappointment. All the feels.
