I’m not an autobiography girl; I listen to books that take me out of this world and into worlds of make believe. So this is the first of its kind in my library. I decided to download this book, as I’ve always been so deeply touched by Harry’s charity work, his beautiful relationship with Meg and his need to create a new chapter for himself and his growing family. Well done Harry, I wish you (and your precious family) all the happiness in the world. You broke the cycle, often the hardest to break, and you’re moving into such a beautiful journey ahead.

Wrecked me, but It was such a great book!

I was looking for a new author/book to explore and a friend suggested this book. It's the first book I've read by Colleen Hoover. I should note, that I have pre-ordered the next book following It Ends with Us and am starting Hopeless. As shared in my headline, this book absolutely wrecked me. I come from an abusive childhood, and like so many others who survive abuse, stories like this open old wounds. This story resonated with me on so many levels. Atlas' love is so very much like the love I have with my husband. The love of a good partner can heal so many wounds. So, I write this to share, that although it was very hard to read, I'm so glad I did. It shows just how strong we can be, and how we can change the cycle. Colleen Hoover, thank you for sharing your truth and story, "just keep swimming".

Hard To Listen To...

I adore Sherrilyn's books, all of them, I even like Holter narrating most of the time, but his latest feminine voices are KILLING me. It's seriously hard to focus on the story, because the female voices he acts out are whiney and screechy and so hard to handle. I look forward to listening to my audiobooks, they are my special treat, but I'm about to stop this series and just go buy the paperback. That seriously bums me out.

First of all, I rarely leave reviews. Secondly, I’m not a fan of “in between” books. However, I have to say, this was absolutely adorable! I regularly laugh out loud at Oberon’s commentary in The Iron Druid Chronicles, and a whole story by him was genius! Thank you Kevin Hearne - this was a real treat!

What a pleasant surprise! It took me awhile to listen to this book. I struggled with the first chapter twice...and needed to begin again for the third and final time. I struggled with how much I enjoyed the Twilight series and unfairly didn't give this book it's rightful chance. After reading well into the 3rd chapter, I found myself completely drawn in with it's complex story line. Stephanie Meyer proves to impress me yet again...I would recommend this book to anyone!
