Wow! Melanie Shankle’s, Here Be Dragons “mean girl narrative” had me laughing, crying, and everything in between. It is transparent, deep, and reflective, and I absolutely loved it! Thanks to a friend, I got this reco and pushed passed
judging a book by its cover and am SO glad I did. This is a must read for anyone that has ever experienced middle school, high school, unstable relationships, or basically even breathing. Two thumbs up!!

Never Laughed So Hard and Cried!

Leanne Morgan’s narration of her own story is inspiring and hilarious! Her natural wit and comedic timing coupled with her story of long-suffering and endurance through personal and professional struggles left me feeling uplifted and seen. Bless you Leanne for sharing your story. It is a gift!

Looking at Time Management through the lens of being a woman = BRILLIANCE!!

Kendra has literally opened my eyes to looking at time management with such grace and from the “new” perspective of being a woman and I am SO grateful. I no longer have to feel guilty on the days I just can’t “get ‘er done”. I can simply be compassionate towards myself, my situation, my humans, and move forward “accessing kindness” to the best of my ability and trusting that there is goodness present. Thank you Kendra, this was brilliant!

A Fantastic, Relatable, Understandable Argument for Faith in Jesus!!!

To write a proper review for Why I Believe, I would have to have written several along the way while reading. Dr. Cloud integrates his personal stories, understanding of the Bible, and professional knowledge so seamlessly and in turn makes his argument incredibly compelling! I have referred multiple friends, Christian and non-Christian alike, to this book already. If you have any family or friends that are on the fence or are even antagonists of the faith, but are willing to listen, this is a must-share! Thank you Dr. Cloud, God bless you.

Real and Riveting

Kate Bowler’s honest and transparent memoir about her fight with cancer practically gives the reader a lesson in empathy, because if you can listen/read it and your heart not break when hers breaks, there may be something wrong with you. She is wisened, humble, and an expert at inserting humor at just the right moment. The reader will walk away riveted and with a more enriched internal life. SO well done!!

A Delicious and Deep Story

Tembi Locke’s memoir of love, food, family, and cancer is well-written and full of heart. And aside for the occasional flippant F-word thrown in more so at the end, it was pretty much flawless and I enjoyed it very much.

An Honest, Beautiful, Authentic Story of Faith

Beth Moore shares her story so beautifully and with much honesty. She is careful to keep a balance between what the reader needs to know and what would be too much. Her light-hearted personality shines through and adds humor and character to what might otherwise be an overwhelming story. Moore weaves her faith with her humanity authentically and masterfully, making for a truly wonderful read.

Beautiful and Freeing!

Emily P. Freeman led me on a journey in The Next Right Thing that took me in a direction I was not expecting. Her words painted the images of beautiful and relatable stories as she wove a narrative about building a life with her (our) friend Jesus. Instead of giving a step-by-step, how-to approach to making a decision, Emily leads you on a journey to untangle any inner mess in order to make clearer more self and God-informed decisions. And in the end, when it all comes down to it, she gives you permission to, "Pick what you like then see how it grows", taking the pressure off (especially for those who, like myself, are over-scrupulous). Written with grace, humor, and poise; The Next Right Thing is sure to help any reader that is ready and willing, as she prepares to walk forward through her big (and small) decisions in life.

Even More Wow!

I listen to Kendra on her Lazy Genius Podcast weekly, but had not yet read the book yet. I was delightfully surprised, though I shouldn’t have been, to find that she was even more hilarious, practical, and heartfelt in The Lazy Genius Way book. Kendra weaves her personal narrative and her tested, tried-and-true wisdom with compassion; all while giving the reader permission to just be herself and do what works for her. Now, I understand even more why everything she says just makes sense. Thank you Kendra, this is a gift!

Will Guidara masterfully and eloquently articulates the beautiful concept of Unreasonable Hospitality and it resonates not only in business, but in all aspects of life. Guidara is witty, charming, and honest as he brings the reader along on his climb to the top- in the world of restauranteurs. His candidness is refreshing and you will feel yourself not only cheering him on throughout the book, but also being cheered on as you attempt to see the world through this wonderfully audacious lens of Unreasonable Hospitality. This is an absolute must read/listen! ... Just be sure to listen until the very very end!
