I like this series but this seemed lacking
Revisado: 02-12-23
The series is been very good, but this book was lacking. It didn’t seem to be a full story and more of a set up for falling books. I hope the next book improves and gives you more contact for the price iPad.

Fun but the last book was just to silly
Revisado: 06-06-22
Overall the books are lighthearted and fun. However the last book was just not all together. It’s like the author wrote it in a weekend. I have to say by the end of the series I really didn’t like the main character.

Historia
Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

I made it
Revisado: 10-28-19
This was a tough listen. I do really like the narrator though. The story was very lacking and juvenile sometimes. It almost seemed to be appealing to young teenage boys with all the sexual innuendo. Seems sort of insulting overall to women’s intelligence. Anyway it’s just my opinion but hopefully I’ll save you a credit you can use for a better book

Good but lots of filler
Revisado: 03-05-19
I’ve really enjoyed the series as a whole so far. This book however was really drawn out. It sometimes seemed I was reading the same material multiple times. I’ll probably continue reading future works in this series but I definitely need a break after this one

Historia
The Skull Throne of Krasia stands empty. Built from the skulls of fallen generals and demon princes, it is a seat of honor and ancient, powerful magic, keeping the demon corelings at bay. From atop the throne, Ahmann Jardir was meant to conquer the known world, forging its isolated peoples into a unified army to rise up and end the demon war once and for all. But Arlen Bales, the Warded Man, stood against this course, challenging Jardir to a duel he could not in honor refuse.

Could it drag on anymore?
Revisado: 08-25-18
I couldn’t finish. I liked the first couple of books but wow about halfway through I was rooting for the bad guys. I really can’t to hate the characters in the book. The story is very repetitive and each characters story is really dragged on way to long. I really lost interest

Good but characters mimic other books
Revisado: 05-07-18
I really like this author and this book was good. The only problem is that after reading his other novels I felt that the main character in this book is the same character as in the others with a different name.

Historia
Gary Karkofsky a.k.a Merciless: The Supervillain Without Mercy (TM) returns in the fourth volume of the popular Supervillainy Saga. Having discovered the world's greatest superhero slain by his doppelganger from another reality, Merciful: The Supervillain with Mercy (TM), and the arrogant President Omega, Gary dedicates himself to overthrowing both. Unfortunately, this is harder than it looks since Merciful has all of Gary's genre savviness while President Omega has the entire brainwashed United States military.

The author ran out of stream
Revisado: 05-04-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
The book has a rushed feel to it. The author borrows a lot of dialog and material already covered in the original books. There is very little original content in this book.
Would you ever listen to anything by C. T. Phipps again?
Yes, I like his books. I get the feeling he just ran out of steam on this one.
Which scene was your favorite?
The end.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment. The earlier books were much better
Any additional comments?
I hope the author takes a break before continuing this series. There was way to much talking about relationships that was already covered in the earlier books. Less talk more action!
