Historia
Bill Bryson has been an enormously popular author both for his travel books and for his books on the English language. Now, this beloved comic genius turns his attention to science. Although he doesn't know anything about the subject (at first), he is eager to learn, and takes information that he gets from the world's leading experts and explains it to us in a way that makes it exciting and relevant.

Best audible book yet
Revisado: 06-23-05
I loved this book. The author is witty, yes, but wit was not his goal. His goal was to share the amazing facts about what he himself has learned about science, past and present. The narrator is truly gifted as well, so much so that one will wonder whether this is indeed the author speaking, though it is not. A perfect book, best buy yet on Audible.

Enjoyable from beginning to end
Revisado: 05-16-05
The narration is perfect, and content is rich, above my head at times, but that doesn't mean I don't want to try to understand, and I gained a lot of understanding about what Einstein's general theory of relativity is. One of the more fascinating parts of the book is the description of how the theory was proven using eclipes of the sun. Highly recommended for anyone who finds this sort of stuff interesting.

Unlike Ed Dames who I find repulsive
Revisado: 04-27-05
I've been skeptical of remote viewing mainly due to what I've heard from Ed Dames, but this woman is different, and the material she seems to have viewed seems believable. It's one of those things you have to take as another potential piece of the puzzle, maybe right, maybe not, but her heart is good and she seems honest. If what she viewed is real....and I think it could be, it's fascinating.

Believable, therefore fascninating
Revisado: 04-06-05
I thoroughly enjoyed this book for two reasons: 1. The subjects provide fascinating stories about their lives between lives, in "heaven" or whatever, and 2. The author asks all the right questions, questions that come into one's own mind immediately upon hearing each new bit of information. Who knows how accurate these people are, but my method is to listen, and if it seems sincere, and I take it as information. This book was so absorbing, my 45-minute commute fly by without me even noticing I was already home.
