Interested in hearing the stories of development of the Lindy Hop, but if I wasn’t very interested in the topic I would have never finished. Besides the narrator being a little jarring there was little to no editing. There are several points where she makes a mistake (anyone would I’m not faulting her for that) but they didn’t edit it out, she starts over. This didn’t happen often but it speaks to the lack of care taken with putting the recording together. In comparison the Frankie Manning book was done much more professionally. I’d love to see this re-recorded.

Fforde has delivered. This series is a departure from his other works, and while I love Thursday, Jack Spratt, hibernation and rabbits, I always thought SoG was his most interesting and imaginative work. I listened to it when it first came out (so long ago), and was thrilled when he finally delivered on book 2 (I couldn’t wait for May so I managed to get a signed copy of the book from the UK where the book came out 3 months ago). I’m now finally getting the chance to listen to the book and it’s fun all over again. Great job Mr Fforde for the wonderful sequel and Mr Harper for the narration. I’m sorry that Jasper wasn’t able to do a book signing in Brookline, MA so I didn’t get to ask him if he doesn’t like tea.

The narrator was great, the book was wonderful. I appreciate the work Michael Lewis does to present all the information into a very compelling narrative. This book was another great example of him doing just that. Adenrele Ojo who did the narration was great.

Very interesting as one would expect from Michael Lewis. I’d listen gladly to this again if it was 10 times the length.

I've been a fan of Jasper Fforde since his first novel and have listened to them all on audible. This story is different than his others, and was a little harder to get into initially, but in the end it was very well worth it. I can't wait for more in the series.

The previous reviewer (Dwight Fischer) was right - I only wish his review had been up when I downloaded this book.

I kept trying to get into the story, but the main character is so dumb, and never gives the reader/listener a reason to care about his quest. The story is unbelievable - both in the reason for his quest and the dumb things he does.

In the end you just end up asking yourself, why? Why is the main character so dumb. Why should we care about his quest. Why does it have such a high rating, I'd give it zero if I could.
