Truth is sometimes quite simple

Fr. Britton choose the way forward and past all the tedious politics of liturgy. Tradition is not an ism. Progress can be good. Both together lies the truth of what is expected of us. It is frustrating we have been going down this road of confusion for so long. However we are not unlike the body of Christ in the preceding centuries. That is we have to find our way, just like everyone else

Very Good but…

A needed kick in the spirit. There is a clear call to is from God. Ralph is very good at eliciting a good response from the audience. Heaven and hell are the outcome of our free actions cooperating with building God’s Kingdom or not…
We wished the author while pointing out pitfalls of certain theological and prudential principles, not tear down others like Barron, Francis or Balthasar. These are very important influential fellow Catholics that deserve a more charitable treatment and a full accounting.
Such treatment would provide clear understanding and continue to build the kingdom. For example, universalism is of course wrong. Yet it is a matter of opinion not the gospel truth that one individual believes in universalism. Distinguishing between sin and sinner center would be helpful. That was a missed opportunity; finger pointing seemed petty. Or , yes current leadership could be confusing, but would it not be more helpful to remind us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church -and what we need to do practically rather than finger-pointing?
Regardless, I would recommend the book to everyone knowing that most readers understand there are disagreements between men on points of contention.
