NOLA here I come!
Revisado: 01-24-25
This was recommended to me to get excited about my upcoming trip to New Orleans. Who hasn’t known someone like the protagonist!? These over the top characters are so fabulous and now I can’t wait to walk the hotdog cart path in NOLA when I get there!!

I’m listening to all of her work now!
Revisado: 01-18-21
I want Marlene Wagman-Geller to be my guest at every dinner party ever. I love the English teacher required-reading references and quotes, and I’m entranced by her retelling of stories of great and naughty women! This is my second audio book, and I’m going to listen to them all as I remodel my 100-year-old bungalow.
Marlene, let me know when you’re in Indianapolis!! I’m a pretty good cook, if you can overlook the unfinished kitchen!!

Not what I expect from Atwood. I want a real story line and character development.

Historia
The year is 1970. Emma Gable, a blind teenager coming of age in a small industrial town in Western New York, is about as far from the seismic cultural transformations rocking campuses and city streets across America as a person can get. Emma escapes the chaos of her dysfunctional family by dialing up random numbers on the phone in her bedroom, just to see who'll answer.

Worse than just a waste of time
Revisado: 10-16-20
I want literature from Amazon. This is a poorly formed, badly accented conglomeration of self-pity.
