Historia
The last time homicide detective Tracy Crosswhite was in Cedar Grove, it was to see her sister's killer put behind bars. Now she's returned for a respite and the chance to put her life back in order for herself, her attorney husband, Dan, and their new daughter. But tragic memories soon prove impossible to escape. Dan is drawn into representing a local merchant whose business is jeopardized by the town's revitalization.

Equal to all the other Bests of this series
Revisado: 07-26-21
I've known Robert Dugoni's family for many decades - Robert and Betty Lou Kapela and Christina his wife. If I remember correctly there are eight books in the Tracy Crosswhite series which make for an exciting continuity of her life and finally marrying Dan and having a daughter. But she leads a very dangerous career in police and detective work that is constantly putting her life and family at risk. It also threatens the stability of Cedar Grove which is trying to make a comeback to its former goals.

Historia
Anne Gallagher grew up enchanted by her grandfather’s stories of Ireland. Heartbroken at his death, she travels to his childhood home to spread his ashes. There, overcome with memories of the man she adored and consumed by a history she never knew, she is pulled into another time. The Ireland of 1921, teetering on the edge of war, is a dangerous place in which to awaken. But there Anne finds herself, hurt, disoriented, and under the care of Dr. Thomas Smith, guardian to a young boy who is oddly familiar.

MUCH MORE THAN THE TITLE SUGGESTS!
Revisado: 06-04-21
The narrative brings the reader/listener into a time-warp of Irish history of over 100 years in which a young woman goes back to her Irish roots and family. She interacts with leaders of the Irish rebellion who become vivid and real in the narrative. The ending is tragic when she goes back to the present time just after marrying and settling down in the countryside.

A MODERN DAY AGATHA CHRISTI
Revisado: 12-15-20
If you start listening to this in the evening, you may not get any sleep. The pacing is perfect and you'll find it difficult to guess who is the guilty one. Along the way a dozen or more characters are well portrayed and believeable. The narrator is surprizingly versatile in voice, tone and style.
