A Story Of True Bravery!
Revisado: 07-17-24
Truly the most intriguing read I have run across yet in my study of military history of the bravery and sacrifice of those who belonged to the 8th Air Force. If you want to catch a glimpse of what it cost us to win WWII, then this is the book you need to read. Only downside is that this is a tremendously long book to trudge through and some of the details I felt were monotonous.

Historia
Two dozen Navy SEALs descended on Osama bin Laden’s compound in May 2011. After the mission, only one name was made public: Cairo, a Belgian Malinois and military working dog. This is Cairo's story, and that of his handler, Will Chesney, a SEAL Team Operator whose life would be irrevocably tied to Cairo's.

Riveting Story of Heroism By A Man’s Best Friend!
Revisado: 04-16-24
Was really hesitant to listen to this book about a dog, even though I’m a dog love myself. However, I was hooked from the very beginning. Really is amazing how dogs have become a force multiplier in the military for us and the lengths they will go in order to do their job. You will not regret listening to this story of Cairo who was simply no ordinary dog, to steal the title of the book.

Simply a riveting and courageous story. Very grateful for the courageous faith of those like Bob Fu who are standing strong in the midst of severe persecution. A must read for those who are interested in understanding what our brothers and sisters in Christ are facing in China.

Historia
In 2009 Clinton Romesha of Red Platoon and the rest of the Black Knight Troop were preparing to shut down Command Outpost Keating, the most remote and inaccessible in a string of bases built by the US military in Nuristan and Kunar in the hope of preventing Taliban insurgents from moving freely back and forth between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Three years after Keating's construction, the army was finally ready to concede what the men on the ground had known immediately: It was simply too isolated and too dangerous to defend.

A Story Of Real Heroes That I Couldn’t Put Down
Revisado: 11-03-23
This was one of the most captivating and gut-wrenching books that I have listened to yet. I couldn’t wait to listen to each day. A huge thanks to Clinton Romesha and his team for sharing with us the true events at COP Keating and may we never forget the heroes that willingly laid down their lives that day against all odds. It is men like this that give me hope for our country. Highly recommend you take a listen to this account.

Hal Moore led his life by a set of principles - a code developed through years of experience, trial-and-error, and the study of leaders of every stripe. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Moore's life touched upon many historical events: the Occupation of Japan, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the refashioning of the US Army into an all-volunteer force. At each juncture, he learned critical lessons and had opportunities to affect change through measured responses.

As one of his senior raters wrote, “We need more Hal Moore’s in the Army.” This is an excellent read on military leadership that can be translated into the civilian sector as well. Practical yet profound.

It was the final test. A chance to win not only the love of Allah, but the love of her father - something she had never been able to earn. Esther took a deep breath and raised her hand in the air. At the age of 18, she had just volunteered to become a suicide bomber. Defying Jihad is the true story of a girl growing up under radical Islamic rule, trained to believe her ultimate purpose was to serve Allah by dying as a jihadist. But two nights before she was to leave forever, she had a dream...one that would change the course of her destiny.

Revisado: 06-26-22
One of the most powerful gospel centric stories I have ever encountered. Esther’s story was not only an encouragement to me, but I was greatly challenged in my faith as well. This one is definitely a “page turner.”
