Leaves me wanting more!
Revisado: 03-26-24
Excellent, but left me wanting to know more about the man, family, motives and the impact,on US security. Betrayal and Religion what a dichotomy. Guess, I wanted more insight into the “man!”

Historia
In the dog days of August 2008, a column of Russian tanks and troops rolled across the Republic of Georgia’s northern border and into South Ossetia, sparking a war that was over almost before it began. The war, while not insignificant, lasted all of five days. The number of casualties did not exceed one thousand, the threshold most political scientists use to classify a war, although thousands of Georgians were displaced. By historical comparison, when Soviet tanks entered Hungary in 1956 and Afghanistan in 1979-89, the fatalities totaled 2,500 and roughly 14,000 respectively.

Quick lesson on the 2008 Georgian war
Revisado: 11-17-22
Though quite short gives the history leading to Russia and Georgia War. Felt like a college classroom presentation. The content was very interesting, but the presentation a little shaky! Overall really interesting subject that gives background and insight into the current war in the Ukraine.

Historia
On the face of it, a simple book of 26 poem fables sharing one man’s wisdom. But The Prophet is so much more than that. It has inspired people from John F Kennedy to The Beatles and became the '60s Bible of counterculture – all because of the timeless truths it shared. Each poem takes a different theme – pleasure, beauty, freedom, joy and sorrow – as the fictional Al Mustapha shares his thoughts and experiences as he prepares to travel back to his island home.

A Great Reading of a Great Author!
Revisado: 06-12-22
What can one say about one of the most important and loved books ever written? I feel personally uplifted each time I read or listen to the “Prophet!” Few books and presentations have effected me during my life to the extent of this treasure. The voice of the reader is soothing and relaxing capturing a true storyteller! The presenter appears to understand the intent of the author!

Evans interweaves a broad narrative of the war’s progress with viscerally affecting personal testimony from a wide range of people - from generals to front-line soldiers, from Hitler Youth activists to middle-class housewives. The Third Reich at War lays bare the dynamics of a nation more deeply immersed in war than any society before or since. Fresh insights into the conflict’s great events are here, from the invasion of Poland to the Battle of Stalingrad to Hitler’s suicide in the bunker.

Great Book and Great Listen
Revisado: 09-18-20
Extremely informative! Does not deal with battles or tactics but the operation of the military and civilian response to the war. Also deals with the behavior of the German armed forces in its relationships with the conquered people!

Stalingrad
Revisado: 10-20-19
D. Glantz offers a new evaluation of the one greatest battles in WWII. New material and revised figures abound. The presentation is logical, precise and interesting. While it doesn’t go into boring mathematical figures those given do explain his view of causes and outcomes based on his figures! A lot of new ground is covered that explains why and how the actions and their resulting outcomes occurred! This is a great easy to understand presentation! The reader is very professional and enjoyed his voice and tone! A must read for WWII researchers and those interested in world changing moments in history!

Historia
In this groundbreaking new work, Mark Booth embarks on an enthralling intellectual tour of our world's secret histories. Starting from a dangerous premise - that everything we've been taught about our world's past is corrupted, and that the stories put forward by the various cults and mystery schools throughout history are true - Booth produces nothing short of an alternate history of the past 3,000 years.

Dune (Narrated)
Revisado: 02-14-17
I have always been intrigued by Dune since I was introduced to it in college. I was required reading for English Literature in the science fiction genre. The storyline is incredibly complex but, easily followed once the background and characters are established. Contains, love, sex, drugs, religion, war, peace, monsters, ambition, and so much more. Dune is a universe in approximately twenty books that expand on the original universe of Dune. You will be entertained as well made to think in modern terms. Dune is current as today, old as time. A must read/listen. Enjoy thoughtfully.
