Historia
Winning today isn't about beating the competition at the old game. It's about inventing a whole new game - defining a new market category, developing it, and dominating it over time. You can't build a legendary company without building a legendary category. If you think that having the best product is all it takes to win, you're going to lose. In this farsighted, pioneering guide, the founders of Silicon Valley advisory firm Play Bigger rely on data analysis and interviews to understand the inner workings of "category kings".

A bold salesman’s approach to pr because marketing takes too long.
Revisado: 01-19-23
The book itself has an underlying peacock type vibe with these clichés and stereotypes that are at best inauthentic and personally hard to relate to. I understand that it is this bravado that probably helped to create the business and this books popularity and that without it I would not be learning the brilliant concepts and game plan included. Perhaps relatable for startups and businesses with funding, not as much for scrappers. Definitely recommend because the content is holistic and gets you outside of the box in a very well thought out strategic way. We built out our pr strategy using these tools and plan to launch in 2023, so we’ll see how well we do with this playbook.

Historia
Matt Fitzgerald has already made a name for himself in the endurance-sport community with books like 80/20 Running, How Bad Do You Want It?, and Iron War. He is an accomplished amateur runner, but if he follows the training, nutrition, and lifestyle of an elite runner, just how fast could he go? He is approaching his mid-40s, so the time to do this is now. He at last has the financial means to do nothing but train.

The perfect reframe of limitations
Revisado: 11-29-22
I enjoyed the book tremendously. I felt like I was there, on the trail, in the weight room, side-by-side with the pros while at the same time having an extremely witty and satirical narrator to guide me through what I was seeing and eventually started feeling which was an understanding of a pro runners life, well any person with passions life. And I couldn’t of read this book at a better time recently feeling complacent and unfulfilled, it reignited a flame inside, a renewed desire to test myself again, in someway, have a goal that is bigger.

Historia
The Narrative Gym by Dr. Randy Olson presents a new model for messaging and communication. It's a short, practical guide to the ABT Framework (And, But, Therefore) which needs to be on the desk of everyone crafting a message, essay, strategy, novel, campaign, proposal, presentation, screenplay, argument, joke, ballad, report...pretty much all communication. There is no other audiobook on the ABT framework. There is no other analytical model for narrative structure like the ABT framework. This is a new and unique resource.

Hoping to re-define our agency
Revisado: 10-03-21
Our marketing agency is full of talented creative’s who are very good at storytelling, but we have a gap in our strategy planning process that prevents us from translating our client’s passion into easily digestible, brand consistent, authentic, and most importantly, focused content, therefore we were in search of a formula that can allow us to strengthen our storytelling muscle and create a consistent process to help guide our creative. Thanks for the share Park!

Why do some products get more word of mouth than others? Why does some online content go viral? Word of mouth makes products, ideas, and behaviors catch on. It's more influential than advertising and far more effective. Can you create word of mouth for your product or idea? According to Berger, you can. Whether you operate a neighborhood restaurant, a corporation with hundreds of employees, or are running for a local office for the first time, the steps that can help your product or idea become viral are the same.

Priceless
Revisado: 12-12-17
Run a little marketing startup in Flagstaff and was told about this book by one of our new social media managers. Wow, so informative with tangible ideas, so relatable for the rest of the team. Making this a mandatory read company wide. And yes, recommend this remarkably orange book to folks looking to better understand the world of marketing! Big thanks to Jonah for taking the time to share his talents!
