Unbelievable
Revisado: 09-02-23
This is so horribly disgusting. Audible should be ashamed for even offering it. Sick. Sick. Sick.

Horrible audio quality

I only made it a few minutes into this. I couldn’t understand it. It was too echoey and garbled.

Disturbing- Children in sex stores
Revisado: 06-29-20
It’s disturbing how many of these stories involve sex toy/porn stores (The same store?).
More disturbing is how many of these stories involve CHILDREN in SEX stores.
On audio, it’s hard to tell which author wrote which story, but I’m assuming these “not quite kiddy porn” are from the same author. I think this author has a personal problem, obsessed with his “Hello, Titty” toy store...complete with a “Hello Kitty” type logo (to appeal to children?). Red flag to the authorities?

Can’t handle the racist content
Revisado: 11-01-18
There should be a warning in the book summary of all the racist content in the book.
In the (long) foreword, there is a mention about the author being “a product of his time”,
I got about 20 minutes in then abandoned the audiobook. Will be requesting a refund and a hot shower to get the stink off.

I read this 35 years ago!
Revisado: 02-22-15
5 minutes into listening to this "new Dean Koontz novel" I realized I had read it before. Memorable, only because of how mediocre it was. With just a little digging, I found that this had been published under the name of "Owen West" (a Dean Koontz "pen name"...who knew?).
Not so good the first time around. We should be warned when they dust off old works and try to pass them off as new.

SLOW AND TEDIOUS
Revisado: 11-03-12
What would have made Cloud Atlas better?
Can't see what all the hype is about. After forcing myself to listen for 2 hours, I finally gave up.
What could David Mitchell have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not to wait so long to add any cohesion.
How could the performance have been better?
My opinion of the performance was colored by my distaste for the story.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Cloud Atlas?
At least an hour from the first 2 hours...I don't know about the rest.
Any additional comments?
How do I get my money back on the "Great Listen Guarantee"?
