Historia
Braxton Knox was a veteran, a university professor, a conservative family man—a good person, commanding the respect of those who knew him. Until the day when one innocent slip of the tongue brought down the merciless wrath of the woke social justice mob—ultimately costing him his career, his family, his home, and almost his life.

Basic story, a little weak.

The book is well written and the narration is good, but the basic story is stretched a little too hard.

Repetition of time, date, and place
Revisado: 12-29-24
In a story that takes place in one day and in the same place, why did the author think that he had to keep saying what the place and time and date were with the date, including the year. A rather ridiculous touch from a great author. But for some reason, this seems the growing trend among authors.

Disappointed in this wonderful author
Revisado: 09-21-23
The book was disappointing from an author, who has written so many good books that flowed well and smoothly. This book was nothing but the constant repetition of the year, month, day of the week and the time plus native American folk tales. The tales had nothing to do with the story of the book, and each tale was preceded by the location the day, the hour, the month and the year information. Whereas writing a book in this manner is a great way to add additional number of pages to book it really does nothing for the storyline.

Repetitive listing of times, and time zones
Revisado: 11-04-22
The plot of this book is weak. And listening to it one is put off by the constant repeating of times and time zones. This repeating will occur even if no more than five minutes has elapsed and it is the same location. It is an excellent way to lengthen a book.

Too much detail about location and time
Revisado: 04-05-22
Whereas, the overall concept of the story was good it was ruined by the author constantly saying where the event was taking place and what the time was. Quite often, the place was the same place as the last time the author mentioned it. This is a good way to increase the word count of a book but is rather ridiculous.

Historia
A serial killer is on the loose in San Diego, and he has a most unusual M.O.: with each kill, he leaves behind objects with unclear meanings. Most of the recent killings are centered near Kendra Michaels' home and office, so it comes as no great surprise when the FBI shows up at her door. The investigators soon make a startling discovery: the left-behind objects are actually souvenirs of other unsolved serial murder cases in various US cities.

Historia
Thomas McNulty, having fled the Great Famine in Ireland and now barely 17 years old, signs up for the US Army in the 1850s and with his brother in arms, John Cole, goes to fight in the Indian Wars - against the Sioux and the Yurok - and, ultimately, in the Civil War. Orphans of terrible hardships themselves, they find these days to be vivid and alive, despite the horrors they see and are complicit in. Moving from the plains of Wyoming to Tennessee, Sebastian Barry's latest work is a masterpiece of atmosphere and language.

Revisado: 02-07-17
The story is poorly written and conceived. The author appears to be using a historic time to preach his concept of modern ideas and does it poorly. Buying the audiobook was a waste of money.
