Historia
This is a study of how intellectuals as a class affect modern societies by shaping the climate of opinion in which official policies develop, on issues ranging from economics to law to war and peace. You will hear a withering and clear-eyed critique about (but not for) intellectuals that explores their impact on public opinion, policy, and society at large.

Perhaps the greatest mind of his generation
Revisado: 09-06-21
Thomas Sowell has a unique mix of personal history, academic training and natural talent that makes it effortless for him to analyze any issue without being tainted by obvious bias. He can look at the 40,000 foot view while simultaneously examining tiny details of an issue.

Historia
Dish up the red meat, eggs, and whole milk! In this well-researched and captivating narrative, veteran food writer Nina Teicholz proves how everything we've been told about fat is wrong. For decades, Americans have cut back on red meat and dairy products full of "bad" saturated fats. We obediently complied with nutritional guidelines to eat "heart healthy" fats found in olive oil, fish, and nuts, and followed a Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Yet the nation's health has declined. What is going on?

Why you shouldn’t trust ‘experts’
Revisado: 08-15-21
We’ve been duped for several decades by the ‘experts’. Even if you don’t believe that Nina’s conclusions are correct, you should be horrified by the awful science used over the past 60 years. Makes you rethink everything. Well done Nina…. Well worth the read.
And the argument over the ethics of eating an animal vs. the nutrition science of eating an animal are two very different things. I’ve been saying that for 10 years.

Jesse James: Success can be measured by how well a gang is remembered, and even loved. Few are as famous, or as popular, as the ‘all American hero’ Jesse James. But is this adulation justified?

George Floyd?
Revisado: 07-10-21
Only an academic with a degree in pretzel logic can draw a line between Jesse James and Floyd. NOBODY knows that the James family owned slaves, therefore they can’t be worshipping him as some white supremacy icon. This was such an ignorant take it almost wrecks the entire series.

Historia
In 1783, America emerged from a long and bitter war for independence. The 13 colonies were now 13 sovereign states, bound together by the Articles of Confederation. After years of war, men like Thomas Jefferson saw the possibility of something new under the sun: a government which derived its just power from the consent of the governed.
