Historia
Georgie, or Lady Georgiana Rannoch, is busy planning her upcoming nuptials to Darcy O'Mara. Unfortunately, what has started as a simple wedding has become quite a royal headache and grand affair, thanks to a guest list that includes the queen and the appointment of princesses as Georgie's bridesmaids. “If only Darcy and I had eloped!” she thinks, as she attempts to organize her wedding and find a place for her and her husband-to-be to live. Just as she despairs of ever finding a home, her godfather offers his fully staffed country estate. But something sinister is afoot....

Too much fun!
Revisado: 08-17-18
After listening to multiple audio performances, I feel as if the characters are family. Watching Georgie get herself into another situation was truly enjoyable. Yes, I could guess places, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience.
The new narrator made the characters believable. Fig’s voice was a little grating, but that made sense for the Character. All in all, worth the credit.

Great performance- Easy to Solve Case
Revisado: 06-29-18
Steve West is a master storyteller. The multitude of voices he portrayed takes a very high level of talent. There were clues early on that helped me guess the ending, but it was still enjoyable. I found myself becoming anxious for the characters and cheering on Holmes and Watson(s) as they unraveled the mystery. Definitely worth the credit. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the hints make it too easy to guess the traitor’s name.

A True Laugh Out Loud, Romantic Austen Tribute
Revisado: 05-30-18
There are very few books that elicit any type of verbal response from me. This is one of them! I was so in tune with the characters that they had me barking with laughter or sighing with disgust. Jude Devereaux was able to weave each Austen tribute characters with an updated counterpart. Much like Austen, the updated story was heartwarming, heartbreaking, romantic and funny. And the peacock...wow. Worth the credit.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Funny, Sad, Riveting
Revisado: 08-31-17
This book as read by Trevor Noah completely engrossed me. His ability to change voices brought every character to life and made me feel like I was inside the action as it happened.
As he recounts his life, going through tragedies and triumphs, he is never self pitying. He gives great insight into the challenges of growing up poor in South Africa and applies the lessons so well to the general human condition.
I wish one day I could sit down with him and his mom and just listen to their conversations. It must be a fun time. Well worth the credit.

Historia
Maggie Hope has come a long way since serving as a typist for Winston Churchill. Now she's working undercover for the Special Operations Executive in the elegant but eerily silent city of Paris, where SS officers prowl the streets in their Mercedes and the Ritz is draped with swastika banners. Walking among the enemy is tense and terrifying, and even though she's disguised in chic Chanel, Maggie can't help longing for home.

The narrator makes this story even better!
Revisado: 08-16-17
The narrator made me feel like I was in the story. Her ability to give voice to all the individual characters was amazing.
Maggie is a spy in Paris mingling with Coco Chanel, German officers and her friends, Sarah and Hugh. Be prepared violence, betrayal and death. This is a real story about what could have happened on the route to the battle at Normandy.
Toward the end, I couldn't stop listening. Every time I set my sleep timer, I had to extend it because I wanted to hear the rest of the story. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Historia
Kelly Murphy's life as a tulip farmer is pretty routine - up at dawn, off to work, lather, rinse, repeat. But everything changes one sun-washed summer with two dramatic homecomings: Griffith Burnett - Tulpen Crossing's prodigal son, who's set his sights on Kelly - and Olivia, her beautiful, wayward, and, as far as Kelly is concerned, unwelcome sister. Tempted by Griffith, annoyed by Olivia, Kelly is overwhelmed by the secrets that were so easy to keep when she was alone.

Dysfunctional & So Funny!
Revisado: 07-19-17
Susan Mallery successfully mixes dysfunctional family drama with super funny dialogue to create a fun listen. Sisters Kelly and Olivia Murphy are abandoned by their mom which results in the girls having very different teen lives. Kelly stays in Tulpen Crossing, and after being sent away to boarding school, Olivia goes to Phoenix with their mom. When a grown Olivia moves back home with Kelly and their dad, the girls fight, laugh and try to figure out how to be sisters. When their mother follows Olivia back to Tulpen Crossing, the girls are determined to keep her out of their new relationship and away from their dad's new love.
Filled with old boyfriends, new loves, Mallery somehow entwines funny situations, difficult conversations and family drama into a great listen.

Never Wanted It to End!
Revisado: 10-14-16
I found myself laughing out loud during parts of this book even as I tried to guess who the murderer was. The writing is so active, I was brought into the story and hated when my commute was over. It's not often that you find this perfect blend of good writing and narration. The author does explain the character's relationship built over previous books in the series, but you needn't have read them to enjoy this one.
The narration brought to life the characters dress, their movements, their faces, their lives. Without going too much into the plot, our heroines go through the countryside solving not one, but two murders! Definitely worth the credit and will look for more from these two.

Historia
Mildred Lathbury is a clergyman's daughter and a mild-mannered spinster in 1950s England. She is one of those excellent women - the smart, supportive, repressed women whom men take for granted. As Mildred gets embroiled in the lives of her new neighbors - anthropologist Helena Napier; Helen's handsome, dashing husband, Rocky; and Julian Malory, the vicar next door - the novel presents a series of snapshots of human life as actually, and pluckily, lived.

Surprisingly Good!
Revisado: 09-23-16
I love WWII and post war books, but was a little skeptical of this book, mostly because it was written in 1952. There's just enough introspection, self doubt, sarcasm and self actualization to make it interesting. The story is told in a way that pulls you in and think that it really could have happened that way.
Mildred's life is that of a normal single woman post war. She has no thought of getting married and devotes herself to the church and work. She has friends, hides the brandy when the vicar comes over, believes herself in love with a friend's husband and tries to figure out how to navigate others expectations of her.
I found myself hoping for a particular happy ending for Mildred. So as not to spoil the book, all I'll say is that Mildred changes substantially on the journey and is very happy with who she is and where life is leading her.

Very Much Agatha, Very Much Poirot
Revisado: 09-20-16
This book definitely follows the Agatha Christie format!
Narration was excellent; I could see every character.
Poirot was his true to form, filled with self love and confident in his abilities. He is still the larger than life character who finds out information on one of his typical trips to London or another locale that is not disclosed until the murder is revealed. There are enough suspects to keep you guessing until very close to the end of the book. If you're like me, you'll hope the murder is never caught because the murder victim was such an easy man to dislike.
If you like Agatha Christie, you'll enjoy this book..
