Historia
When Harriet Vane attends her Oxford reunion, known as the 'Gaudy', the prim academic setting is haunted by a rash of bizarre pranks: scrawled obscenities, burnt effigies and poison-pen letters - including one that says, 'Ask your boyfriend with the title if he likes arsenic in his soup.' Some of the notes threaten murder, and one of them involves a long Latin quotation, which makes Harriet suspect that the perpetrator is probably a member of the Senior Common Room. But which of the apparently rational, respectable dons could be committing such crazed acts?

Dramatization, Abridged
Revisado: 08-26-22
I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not looking at the reviews and assuming that this story would be a narration of Dorothy Sayers' entire novel. This is NOT the book but rather a significantly abridged dramatization. So typical of modern humanity where many folk only have sound bite attention spans, making these dramatizations profitable.

Historia
In late March 1944, as Stalin’s forces push into Ukraine, young Emil and Adeline Martel must make a terrible decision: Do they wait for the Soviet bear’s intrusion and risk being sent to Siberia? Or do they reluctantly follow the wolves - murderous Nazi officers who have pledged to protect “pure-blood” Germans? The Martels are one of many families of German heritage whose ancestors have farmed in Ukraine for more than a century.

A Well Told Story
Revisado: 09-11-21
Thank you Mark Sullivan for capturing the truths found in this well told story. The deepest of sorrows and hardships can no doubt bring about the greatest of virtues and gratefulness along with clarity that this finite world and its inhabitants will one day most certainly be redeemed. No amount of evil can stop the goodness of God.

Historia
Award-winning author William Kent Krueger has gained an immense fan base for his Cork O’Connor series. In Ordinary Grace, Krueger looks back to 1961 to tell the story of Frank Drum, a boy on the cusp of manhood. A typical 13-year-old with a strong, loving family, Frank is devastated when a tragedy forces him to face the unthinkable - and to take on a maturity beyond his years.

Excellently Story Excellently Narrated
Revisado: 06-09-19
Bravo to Kent Krueger and Rich Orlow for a spectacularly written and narrated story about the wonder of grace. As Kent Kreuger says in his interview, which I highly recommend, we are all broken people. In his story, he captures the emotion, sorrow, and joy wrapped into the meaning of our complicated lives here on earth while we wait eternity. Thank you for touching my heart in so many profound ways. I am a life-long grieving mother who lost an adult child because of a drunk driver. Only ordinary grace and the awfulness of grace can sustain and carry you through such loss. Grace abounds.
