Historia
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in person with Mosab Hassan Yousef. They discuss the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the chaos created by Yasser Arafat, how Palestine has globalized their radical cause, Mosabs time as a prisoner, what set him free, and the far-from-paved road going forward. Mosab Hassan Yousef (born in 1978) is a Palestinian ex-militant who defected to Israel in 1997 where he worked as an undercover agent for the Shin Bet until he moved to the United States in 2007. Yousef was considered the Shin Bet's most reliable source in the Hamas leadership, earning himself the ...

Historia
There is a Welsh legend about a harp of gold, hidden within a certain hill, that will be found by a boy and a white dog with silver eyes - a dog that can see the wind. Will Stanton knew nothing of this when he traveled to Wales to recover from a severe illness. But when he met Bran, the strange boy who owned a white dog, he began to remember. For Will is the last-born of the Old Ones, immortals dedicated to saving the world from the forces of evil, the Dark.

I love the Dark is Rising series and this book in particular. Ive read them all multiple times. I’ve listened to this one, The Dark is Rising, and Greenwich, and the reader of this one, Richard Mitchley, is far and away the best. Really a tremendous performance that enhances the words and story. I hope to encounter him again!!!

Wonderful book ruined by a horrid, unlistenable performance.
Revisado: 12-29-22
I have read this book several times and love it. It is a worthy successor to Conan-Doyle’s efforts. There are scenes and passages that are unforgettable. But the narrator here ruins it all. Her voice is terrible, grating; her pace is ponderous; her characterizations are weird and unlikeable. This is a narrator telling a story, but there is nothing conversational or natural here. Everything is said as if it’s a performance. Dialogue bears no resemblance to how people talk. And every sentence ends in mid-pitch, without ever falling to a natural note with which speakers end statements. It’s all read as if the speaker is telegraphing some deeper meaning, again, not how people actually interact. Frankly, I’d rather read this round robin with my family or with any random group of semi-literate strangers than listen to one more minute of this abomination. I wanted to give the performance ZERO stars but it didn’t allow me to do so.
