Historia
In The Church in Babylon, Dr. Lutzer will walk you through the many parallels between the church in America and God’s people in Babylon and embolden you to be a gospel witness. You’ll be encouraged not to compromise your faith even when under constant pressure from all corners of society. And more than all this, you will have a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ as you consider the biblical role of those in exile.

Best Christian Books I've Read In A Long Time!
Revisado: 11-19-18
I trust the wisdom from Erwin Lutzers. He has seen it all. His discernment is impressive. This is a book unlike all the others. He is not afraid to tell the blunt truth. Finally, a dose of real truth and common sense which is rare to find these days. This is one of those books I will read over and over. His deep understanding of our culture and people in general....only comes from half a century of sharpening that skill. Very few people have this ability.
Btw...I never write reviews. I get nothing out of it. But, this book is something everyone should be talking about but most have never heard of it. It will probably remain that way because our society prefers feel good lies over truth. The truth will set you free!

Historia
A unique take on explaining idolatry, particularly in our contemporary culture of numerous hidden idols. The uniqueness of this book comes in the metaphor of sipping saltwater. Our idols promise us a certain level of satisfaction; they fail to quench our thirst; they leave us thirstier than we were before drinking them; and we are left with a devastating hangover (i.e. the consequences of sin) in the end. Ultimately, we must spit them out and drink Christ's living water, the only drink that will ever truly satisfy us.

Gripping shocking stories. Great impact on me.
Revisado: 11-25-17
I didn't know what to expect from the title. But, I had this book read in about 48hrs. Which for me and my short attention span is a miracle. What kept me engaged was the gripping true stories with a crazy shock factor. Most important...the underlying message and moral of all these stories. You will have to read to figure that out.
