Yes, indeed, what DO you do when you're not so fond of your identical twin's future brother-in-law...except maybe fall in love with him? Lily and Rafe most definitely start out on the wrong foot, keep tripping over it and finally get their feet under them and find their way home to each other. Luckily, they take us along for the ride as they go from San Francisco, Montana, Australia and back again, dodging the paparazzi, fighting the pull they felt for each other the first time they met, taking care of a big goofy dog and falling head over heels for a sweet lost little girl, too. A heartwarming, yet very sexy story, Tempting as Sin is the perfect book to settle down by the pool with and escape.

Emma Wilder is a fabulous narrator and makes a great book even better.

The day you get a brand new Escape to New Zealand book is surely one of the best days of all. A story of second chances for many people in so many ways, this book made me laugh out loud and reach for the kleenex a couple of times.

Marko is on the comeback trail after a devastating injury, leaving his team on his South Island home to play for the Blues in Auckland. As if changing your entire life isn't enough turmoil, his teenage cousin shows up needing his help and he meets Nyree, who turns everything upside down for him.
This book has layers and important things to say about love, about family and about the ways we all need each other. Marko sees things about Nyree she could never see about herself and encourages her not to settle for second best because she deserves to have everything.

This author's books have always touched me deeply, but this book really shows an evolution of style that makes it similar to the stories in Robin Carr's Virgin River series, where real life issues are woven around the couple falling in love and they deal with them along with their growing romance...kind of like you would in the real world. And past characters appear, not just as "drive bys' like in many long running series, but as integral parts of the story...again, like real life. This book is exactly what I look for in the "perfect" book...it has everything I love to read and I'd say the only thing wrong with it is that it ended too soon.

Emma Wilder gets better with every book. So many feels.

Kevin McNicholl appeared in one of the early chapters of the very first Escape to New Zealand book, Just This Once (Hannah and Drew’s story) and showed up periodically during the series in other stories. An All Black and all around good guy, we didn’t know a lot about him other than he had red hair, was a country boy and was good-natured.

Kevin met Chloe Donaldson in Just Not Mine (Josie and Hugh’s story), when she was on her one and only date with Hugh. She’s Josie’s best friend and retired ballet dancer turned ballet teacher to Hugh’s younger sister. A spark or two between the two of them was briefly hinted at, but we had to wait a long time to see if anything would come of it.

It was so worth the wait.

Left at the altar at nine months pregnant, Chloe now lives in a gorgeous apartment in a large house near the beach with her three-year old son, and owns a ballet studio after retiring as a professional dancer. Things are going nicely until her new landlord informs her that she has to move out of her apartment so his brother, sister-in-law and nephew can move in (very true to life, as there is a big housing shortage in Auckland). Who’s the new landlord? Kevin, of course. He’s found his dream property large enough for providing university housing for his twin sisters and an apartment for his brother’s family. The only downside is having to evict Chloe, who he’s thought about many times in the year since they first met at a restaurant (and then again at Hugh and Josie’s wedding). Unattached at last, he wants to see if she felt the same sparks he did, but kicking her out of her house is probably not the best way to start a new relationship.

But Kevin isn’t known for giving up easily, and Chloe eventually decides to give it a chance. And that is where the fun really begins. Kevin and Chloe are both multi-faceted and layered characters, and watching them find their way to trusting each other and their feelings is finger tingling (the mark of a good book). They have to deal with a lot of outside “noise” from both families and an ex, and they work through it all like adults. Chloe’s adorable son Zavy steals Kevin’s heart and the reader’s, too.

A fabulous story of two people you can’t help but love, this book is another strong addition to the Escape to New Zealand series. Too bad I can only give it 5 stars.

So who doesn't love The Parent Trap? Who didn't secretly wish they had a twin sister so they could pull the big switch? You'd think someday they'd outgrow it, wouldn't you? Not so fast, my friend...Rosalind James brings us a suspenseful story that uses the old twin switcharoo. And what a delightful story about two sisters who couldn't be more different from each other. One is a girly girl and the other...is not. It takes everything Paige has to even attempt to pull off impersonating her sister in order to help her with a problem in her new home. When she runs into her sister's neighbor, he's confused as to why sparks are flying between the two of them when they never have before. Reclusive author Jace Blackstone is over women and just wants to write his books while living in the woods. When he picks up a stalker, he works with Paige as Lily to figure out if it's connected to HER stalker! Mayhem and shenanigans commence, romance happens and bad guys are exposed.

Emma Wilder hits it out of the park with her narration.

A great start to a new series and now I can't wait to see what happens next in Sinful.

Any additional comments?

I'm not always a fan of second chance romances...not because I don't think there should be a second chance, but because all the years that were lost kind of make me sad. And while I'm a little sad that Beth and Evan didn't make it work the first time around, this story of second chances is full of hope for the right ending this time around. Beth and Evan are great examples of good people who become better as they've grown up and become more comfortable with who they are now.

Beth has what should be the perfect life, but she is smart enough to recognize that something isn't right. When she returns home, she thinks it's just for a break, but she slowly realizes that she doesn't fit into her life anymore and she wants something different. Taking up with Evan again reminds both of them they can't go back...but lucky for all of us, this author has the talent to take them forward in a heartwarming and heart wrenching story.

A very strong addition to this new series and another strong performance by Tanya Eby. I look forward to the next installment of the happenings in Wild Horse, Idaho. Who will fall in love next?

If only reality shows were really this good, I might be able to stand to watch them. The large cast of characters and their struggles to live like it's the 1880's for a History Channel reality series makes an intriguing backdrop for romance.

Mira gets talked into participating with her boyfriend, but she is excited to prove to herself what she can do. It's pointed out early that in the group's living situation you can't hide who you really are, and we soon discover that Mira's boyfriend is a class A jerk.

Gabe is recruited, along with his twin, by the producers and over time shows Mira what a real man is supposed to be like. Gabe and Mira dance around their attraction and become the big storyline while trying their best to avoid the cameras.

The competitions, the character clashes with many twists and turns make this a fun story that you want to listen to straight through...because you can't wait to see what happens next.

Good job by the narrator distinguishing the voices of about 12 different characters--no easy feat.

Hot SEAL meets gorgeous single mom of 4 (with one on the way)...what's not to like about this? But there was so much more. So much emotion as Matt falls in love with Abby and her children. I couldn't put this book down and I have reread it many times. Highly recommend it...it has all the feels.

I'm not a big audiobook listener, and this narrator's voice was okay when she voiced characters, but I was not a fan of her voice when reading the story.

The third and final book in the Not Quite a Millionaire series answers all the questions that we were left to ponder at the end of book 2. Hope and Hemi both go through changes that are often painful and never easy to come from opposite directions to finally meet in the middle to be in a place where they can move forward together to their happily ever after.

I like that the bulk of this story happens in New Zealand and Hope encounters more of Hemi's family and begins to understand why he does some of the things she has problems and why he often reacts in ways she doesn't expect. Hemi takes a very long time to begin to hear what Hope is saying, but in the end, he finally becomes the man he has always been underneath the mask he has been wearing for so many years.

This book is a satisfying conclusion to the story of Hope and Hemi, and I hope to someday see how Hope's sister Karen fares and to check in on how they are doing down the road. Another great story from this author, who always delivers above and beyond my expectations.

I am finally getting used to the new narrator for this author's books and am able to lose myself in the story.

Any additional comments?

I just finished this book and I'm speechless because it is not at all what I expected.

What I expected was a part 2 in a three part series that was like all the others, where basically it is like the middle of the book and not very satisfying. That's definitely not what I got.

I was happy with how part one ended and had no burning desire to see what happened to Hope and Hemi next, mainly because I enjoyed how I could see how the story ran parallel to the book in which it first appeared as a story within a story, the Escape to New Zealand book Just in Time. When I got to the first obstacle for Hope and Hemi in this book, I thought...."oh no, I'm going to have to skim this because I don't like people from the past being drug into my good stories to mess things up."

That, however, did not happen. What happened was a lot of working through things that had little to do with that past person, and everything to do with what Hemi and Hope needed to do to make things work now. Just like in the first installment, this book does deliver the promise to those who like to read erotic romance, but it also adds so much more because the emotions are moving the story forward. In this case, the emotions just happen to result in some very, very intense encounters.

Needless to say, there was no skimming involved in this book once I got into it and I couldn't put it down until I was finished. It does contain a cliffhanger, but there is an end date in sight and it's not long. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Any additional comments?

The first book in this new series by Rosalind James just has me asking for more, more, more. Not a fan of small town romances, this one is set apart because it's not nirvana where everybody is "quirky" and perfect. Real life intervenes with regularity and I found myself falling deeper into the story and could not put the book down until I was finished.

Sexy ex-football star is looking for the perfect, sweet wife so he can feel like a grown-up, but meeting the unlikeliest of partners and falling hard puts all his plans at risk. Watching Blake and Dakota discover what they really want and how they can really have it is a treat and I can't wait to see what this series has in store for us in the future.

Highly recommend this book if you like a fun romance with sexy characters who both have minds of their own.
