When you kick over a rock, you never know what's going to crawl out. Alex Velesky is about to discover that the hard way. He's stolen records from the Swiss bank that employs him, thinking that he'll uncover a criminal conspiracy. But he soon finds that he's tapped into the mother lode of corruption. Before he knows it, he's being hunted by everyone from the Russian mafia to the CIA. Court Gentry and his erstwhile lover, Zoya Zakharova, find themselves on opposites poles when it comes to Velesky. They both want him, but for different reasons.

Amazing!
Revisado: 03-10-23
My three favorite hero’s are, in order of affection, Orphan X (Evan Smoak), Thr Gray Man (Court Gentry) and Mitch Rapp. Out of ALL of their novels combined, Burner is hands down my favorite.
The story itself was heart pounding. Then, as part of the series, with all of the history between the characters, my mind was blown. I was biting my nails and I loved every minute.
This is the kind of book that has me wanting to personally thank the Author and shake his hand. Thank you Mark Greaney, Bravo.

Was this worth the wait?
A million x yes! Holy mackerel, 21+ books in the series and I hope it never ends. It is UNBELIEVABLE how good this book is. I didn’t want it to end, ever.
The book was fantastic. The writing is fantastic. The narration is fantastic. If you have not started this series, don’t wait.
The story is so good. After this long wait, I was not expecting too much. I was blown away. I was laughing, I was crying, I could not put it down.
The narration is the best I have ever heard. Those are so many character but you know which one is talking just by the voice. He keeps it doing, give the perfect amount of tension when it’s called for. Speeds up when the action really gets going too.
The writing is great. RR Haywood seems to repeat a lot of scenarios but every time it fresh and new. 21+ books in a Zombie series (They’re not Zombies, I know Reginald) and each one is fresh.
I cannot wait for more. I really cannot wait for more.
RR Haywood, thank you for so much fantastic entertainment. This series is superb. All of your series’ are wonderful. I am so grateful for the opportunity to read your books.

How do I rate this disaster?
Revisado: 07-01-21
I LOVE the time travel sub-genre and I’m afraid I have run out of good stories. I gave this a three because I stayed until the end. Now I cannot decide if I wasted 7.5 hours of listening time or not.
The idea was great. The execution was extremely lacking. The story was disjointed. There were times I felt I missed a chapter or two because plot points were resolved out of nowhere. The plot seems to change almost chapter to chapter and many character arcs were so turned around it made no sense.
I’m not a writer, just an avid reader. So I probably have no idea what I’m talking about but it seems to me that this author published his very first draft. The end was definitely rushed, almost like he had a deadline and was ⅔ finished with the story when the publisher couldn’t wait any longer. Maybe he just was as confused as his readers would be so he just decided to end the book and with it his, and our, suffering. For that I say thank you.

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

I hated this book
Revisado: 06-05-21
I tried, I really tried to like it. I gave it 7 hrs, almost the entire book but I just couldn’t do it anymore. There were just so many inconsistencies with the story. The writing seemed really basic to me. It was not very well thought out. I only had a little under an hour and a half to go, at 1.2x speed.
I got to “The Game” which was almost as bad as “The many Lives of Nora Seed”. Both of those chapters seemed to me like a list of inconsistencies and things that didn’t make sense.
I guess I just don’t get it.

Revisado: 06-24-20
This was a great sequel to The Speed of Sound. it started off great and was an incredible thriller. Then Lolo happened. I don't want to spoil the book. I found myself dreading the chapters with Lolo. The rest of the book however was a great thriller and the ending, while a bit rushed was good.

feels rushed and unedited
Revisado: 04-01-20
Joe Ide and his character Isaiah are always entertaining, this book is no exception. however, it felt rushed to me. I found there to be a lot if inconsistencies and the book jumped around too much. The new narrator for the IQ book was not as bad as a lot of the reviews claim but it also wasnt the same. I really did not like how this book ended but it did seem to set the stage for many more IQ books. I look forward to reading them.

slow pace, myopic characters and a plot that changes with every other chapter. Ray Pirter us the only good part about this book. The basic idea and premise had so much potential but the authors blew it in my opinion. All the five star reviews have to be from friends and family or second graders.

Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....
