Historia
Roxane Peterson is up for auction. Well, her and her ranch. She knew it would be too much to hope for that the man who bought her would be more interested in her than in the property, and money, that came with her. But she’s been down this road before - a marriage that isn’t perfect. Her only concern now is protecting her son and making sure she keeps her independence. Boone Stryker is disillusioned and restless. Seeing a ranch, and a woman, up for auction challenges his soul and gives him a reason to live again. He risks everything he owns to win the ranch.

Great Story, Great Narrator
Revisado: 12-06-20
I absolutely loved this book! I loved the characters - Roxanne and Boone are quirky, lovable characters and it was so sweet to watch them get together. The story was well written and unpredictable. The narrator, Jay Dyess, does a great job with varying voices and using great inflection to keep you drawn in as the story unfold. Definitely recommend.

Quick listen
Revisado: 05-11-20
This was a sweet romance, quick read/audiobook. The writing was decent. However, I did not appreciate the foul language included in the book. It would have been so much better without that included. I wish authors would understand adding that language does NOTHING for the storyline.
While the narrator did a good job, it was a little hard to follow with the constant change in point of view.

Waitress and single mother Louise Olson wouldn’t have missed church to stay home with her sick daughter if she knew the congregation was going to volunteer her to head up the town’s Harvest Festival. Truth be told, she didn’t mind and would have enjoyed it. The problem was Sweet Water’s superstar hockey golden boy was back in town, and he had been named her co-chair. That even wouldn’t be a problem except he didn’t know he was a father - of her daughter.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator did an excellent job with clear reading and voice inflections. The author did an excellent job writing likable characters and a great story line. The only down side is some of the language used in the book, ie frig, crap, darn - not cussing, but offensive to some people, All in all, a good book and the series is worth your time to read,

Wonderful characters, writing and story line
Revisado: 05-09-20
I enjoy reading Jessie Gussman's books. This one was no exception. The characters were interesting and well-developed, the writing was superb and the story line was attention grabbing. All around a good book. On the down side, there was some questionable words - ie, frig, crap, darn - most people wouldn't have a problem with them, but some might, so I am throwing that out there. The narrator did an excellent job reading and adding various voice inflections. Was pleased with the writing of the book as well as the narration of it.

Another great story by Jessie Gussman
Revisado: 04-26-20
This book was well written with an interesting story line and likable, well developed characters. The audio was well done by the narrator. I really enjoyed reading this book - there was only one draw back for me. Some of the language. Now, this story was clean with no cuss words, per se, but there were what I would consider questionable words in the story. This might not bother some people, but if this were the first book I had read by Jessie Gussman, I probably wouldn't read any more. I have read several of her titles and thoroughly enjoyed them all and have not seen any issues with language in the other titles I have read. There was enough in this book that I felt they were worth mentioning. Otherwise, this was a great, clean read.
