Good story, but very hard to listen to

I really enjoyed the "down-to-earth" storytelling of RH Conwell, but this version is hard to listen to.

The narrator, Jason McCoy, has such awkward phrasing and inflection in his voice, it's difficult to determine when a paragraph, story, or sentence begins & ends. In each sentence, he's like an announcer gearing up his voice (tone, volume) for a big announcement, then never getting to the announcement, then gearing up his voice again. Basically, he puts emphasis on the wrong parts of a sentence, which screws up the intention of the sentence, and the listener's experience. It makes the content very hard to follow.

I would strongly recommned "Acres of Diamonds," but NOTHING narrated by Jason McCoy.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was very good - natural, easy to follow. No problems with tone, inflection, accent, or quality of his voice. It's always great to have the author narrate an audio book, and Schwartz does a wonderful job.

The content of this audiobook is wonderful. Schwartz tells you exactly what you need to hear - how thinking BIG can change your life.

Bottom line: Very easy to listen to, and good content. Highly recommended!!

A little too over-acted

I really enjoyed the way the author has set up learning vocabulary: She tells a story that is full of vocabulary words, then defines the words after each part of the story. It allows the listener to hear the word in-context and define it. However the author's catch-phrasse of "verb-a-licious" (which is used throughout the listen) was corny, and a little suggestive. But otherwise a good listen.

Having never read the book, I thought the book would be more in-depth than the movie. However it appears that the book (especially the audio-book) was written after the movie, and is only slightly more info than the movie. It's still interesting info, though. And it's nice to hear the voices of the different contributers.
