Historia
When rogue drones threaten citizens and the ship’s crew falls ill, the Recorder answers their call for help, once again drawing scrutiny from the Consortium. With no other option and under an Elder’s overbearing watch, she returns to Pallas Station where she nearly lost her life in the hope of finding something—anything—to save her friends and countless others. Her friends are determined to keep her safe, but for the Recorder, saving others comes first, no matter the cost.

Page-turner!
Revisado: 01-16-23
Excellent follow-up to Recorder! The characters are excellently fleshed out and relateable. The action flows beautifully from start to finish, I wanted to finish it in one sitting and could barely put it down.

Historia
Recorder has no family, no friends, and no name. Donated to the Consortium before birth, her sole purpose is to maintain and verify the records. A neural implant and drone ensure compliance, punishing for displays of bias. Suddenly cut off from controlling technology, Recorder tastes what it means to be human. But if the Consortium discovers her feelings, everyone she knows will be in danger.

Excellent sci-fi experience.
Revisado: 03-21-22
Do you like fleshed-out worlds different from our own but still completely relatable? The way McCrumb offers up character observations and thoughts about the world gives you a very clear idea of how the world works without spending pages and pages on describing all the little details. The author seems to know exactly how to highlight all the necessary and interesting details while letting the reader fill in the more boring details.
Are you searching for a plot driven by character development? The whole point of this book is the growth of the main (and side!) characters from close-minded, robotic thinking into a much more complex world view.
Just because a book is about character growth doesn't mean it's low on the action either! murder mystery, gunfights, spying, this book has it all! And it will keep you on your toes from start to finish. I definitely had trouble putting this book down just to eat! can't praise this book enough! love it!

Historia
Opposites attack! When the Magelord Minalan the Spellmonger’s two apprentices, Tyndal and Rondal, were knighted after the battle of Timberwatch, they were dubbed Knights Magi: A new class of nobility for distinguished High Magi. Designed to combine the pursuit of arcane knowledge with the noble aspirations of chivalry, it elevated them above common warmage...in theory. The problem was they had no idea how to be a Knight Mage...because no one had ever been one before.

great book! too much sex
Revisado: 03-02-18
really great installment in the series! I had a very hard time putting the book down because there was always something going on right up until the finish. I also greatly enjoyed watching the character changes happening in the two apprentices. It's been a while since reading the ones that came before but I did not remember there being as many pointlessly raunchy scenes in there as there were in this book. I understood some of it being in there--they were teenage boys after all, however I feel that the heavy focus on some of the sec scenes was unnecessary and did not really add to the plot overly much. That is why I have 4 stars instead of 5.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

in the world of epic fantasy, Brandon Sanderson is the next Robert Jordan. This entire series so far is incredible. I can't put the book down. I constantly find myself wanting to learn more about all the characters and all the cultures and the world in general. It is beautifully written.

great book, well written
Revisado: 11-15-16
I loved this entire series. The only thing about it that I feel is off is that the ending is a little too feel-good when the rest of the book is so full of the angst and pain of what it is to be human. that being said, it is a small complaint and it was an amazing series that I am sorry to be finished with!

fairly decently written, poor love story
Revisado: 10-05-16
The plot is actually very good and the book is well written, but the love store feels flat and forced.
