While building the Virgin Group over 40 years, Richard Branson has never shied away from seemingly outlandish challenges that others (including his own colleagues on several occasions) considered sheer lunacy. He has taken on giants like British Airways and won, and monsters like Coca-Cola and lost. Now Branson gives an inside look at his strikingly different swashbuckling style of leadership.

Walking advertisement virgin.
Revisado: 10-12-15
He shamefully self promotes the virgin way.
Over and over again like virgin is a cult. It's just the same message over and over again. I did it different and better than anyone else. If something goes wrong it's because others involved were not doing things the virgin ways. It feels like every word out off Branson's mouth is to promote himself and his stock. To have others listening to the book to want to work for him.
As far as giving advice or being able to learn how to become a better business owner this book fails miserably.

past lives of ancestors cells affects you today. Quack!
Revisado: 09-30-15
He claims that illness is due to disturbances in the human energy field and that the cells of our body store destructive energy patterns and all our memories, habits, interests, and tastes. This is pure imagination: there is no scientific evidence for the existence of a human energy field or of cellular memory. He claims that stress is the cause of 95% of all illness and disease, that your beliefs control your DNA, and that cancer can be the result of bad cellular memories.
How this has such good reviews from this snake oil sales man is questionable. I sure he gamed the system somehow. He has a 6 month waiting list for his practice is probably a lie as well. He isn't scientist
Or a doctor. A real phycologist doesn't talk about Jesus and God giving them codes for healing. I would like to make a complaint about these reviews. I think they are gamed somehow.

Good but wondered if the writer was totally impartial.
Revisado: 09-15-15
As you read the author sets himself as someone who Elon was afraid of because he tells it like it is. After hearing this audio book you will want to buy stock in Space x and Solar City and His Electric cars. The criticisms are, example: Elon works too hard or he will fire people on the spot if they mess up. It's like you are interviewing for a job and an the employer asks you what are your weaknesses. "I am a perfectionist and workaholic." None of the criticisms are damaging if anything they are comforting if you own stock in any of his companies. Its very measured in its criticism. It's a 20 hour listen about his life inside and out yet we have nothing but greatness. Measured with criticisms like: "Elon has promised many things before they were ready upsetting many." Yet it's followed with his claims became true. Elon is very Cheap the criticism, but followed with all the amazing deals this flaw has gotten him. A share holder wouldn't want any depression or drug use,Overspending or quitting, big parties. It just feels like possibly a lot was removed or the writer was not as impartial as he claims.

It's a lot old thinking that has proven false
Revisado: 06-26-15
The story is very interesting. More like a history lesson in how people thought in 1930s. The thing that are true are just obvious. "Gambling is a disease of the mind" then is starts talking About being oversexed. It's just dated and obvious in its message. Some of the things on persistence and Henry ford are good but too few and far between.
If I were to rate it in 1930 I would give it 5 stars but 75 year later I would say it's a one star.
I would compare it paying to see a movie and it's silent black and white and it's showing the bullet that goes to the moon with people on it. I mean that's great 100 years ago.
I just got this on the good reviews. I am very disappointed.
I read in the reviews that the language was old fashioned but the message was still revolutionary.
I agree the language is old fashioned . I strongly disagree on the information being accurate being helpful. It's talks of mutation and evils of sex and just stuff that is utter nonsense. It also is just a bunch of lists of things not to do that are obvious enough Don't keep negative friends don't steal. Then 50 percent are things that have been proven wrong.Just the absolute worst in 2015.
